Tom Aspinall Reveals Major Change in Routine After Relinquishing UFC Heavyweight Title

Tom Aspinall disclosed that he will give up one of his activities to prioritize fighting after relinquishing the UFC heavyweight title.
Tom Aspinall doesn't want to stay away from fighting for long, and he is willing to make a major change in his routine for the same. Aspinall's dedication to returning to fighting after vacating the undisputed UFC heavyweight title became even clearer by his choice to put on one of his money-making activities on hold.
Tom Aspinall Prioritizes Returning to Fighting Over His Podcast
Aspinall launched his own podcast, The Inner Game (also known as The Tom Aspinall Podcast), on June 25 in collaboration with multiple noted streaming platforms, including Apple Podcasts and Amazon Music. It has released 13 episodes to date, featuring various famous personalities, including boxing promoter Eddie Hearn.
The last episode of Aspinall's podcast featuring Hearn was released a day ago. However, it ended with an unforeseen twist as the former undisputed heavyweight champion called an end to the podcast entirely to focus on his return to the octagon.
Aspinall spoke about how the podcast helped him stay busy with something while being out of competition. He also detailed that the conversations educated him about multiple things, including how to be successful in life without MMA.
As his goodbye note, Aspinall revealed that he wouldn't have time for the podcast since he was about to divert his whole focus to his return to fighting. He said, "Moving forward, I don't think I'll have enough time to focus on podcasting for now. So maybe we'll come back to it for one day, but for right now, I am just focusing on getting back to fighting. That's my focus. That's what I want to do. So, thanks to everyone for listening. Thanks for supporting me through all the bad times as well. And I'll see you soon."
🚨🏴 Tom Aspinall thanks everyone for their support and says his focus from now on will be on recovery and getting back to fighting, not podcasting. 👏

According to MMA Journalist Ariel Helwani, Aspinall had returned to training for a rumored title rematch against Ciryl Gane at UFC 334. However, another hit to his injured eye damaged it once again, beyond the point of continuing training. After being refused clearance by multiple doctors, Aspinall finally decided to relinquish the undisputed heavyweight title.
Given the assumably dire condition of his right eye, Aspinall's decision to discontinue his podcast appears to be a wise one. He will indeed need to pay a lot of attention to it so that he can recover enough to forge a return to the octagon.
