Tommy McMillen Offers to Step in to UFC 333 Main Event

Tommy McMillen is offering to step in to the UFC 333 main event to face either Alexander Volkanovski or Movsar Evloev.
Tommy McMillen is never shy of confidence, and that's shown by the fact that he's offering to step in to be the backup fighter for the UFC 333 main event between Alexander Volkanovski and Movsar Evloev.
With that being said, he has to get through fellow undefeated killer, Marwan Rahiki, at UFC Noche this weekend. It won't be an easy task as Rahiki is a slick striker with violent knockout power.
Whether he gets through Rahiki isn't yet clear, although he's already looking ahead to UFC 333.
Tommy McMillen Offers to be the UFC 333 Backup Fighter
Speaking to Full Send, McMillen informed listeners that he would beat the current 145lbs king, Volkanovski. A brave and bold claim for someone who is just 2-0 in the UFC. Speaking to MMAFighting about the clip, he said, "that was a clip taken a little bit out of context", but later clarified that if he was asked to fight Volkanovski, he absolutely would.
Speaking on the entire 145lbs division, McMillen stated, "That’s where my confidence comes from. I truly believe I can beat anybody at 145 pounds. I know I have the tools to. I’m 6’6, 220 pounds. Like 6’6, 220. I’m a f*cking big 45er. So I have that in my arsenal, and then you add the fact that I’ve been wrestling my whole life.I can stop people’s wrestling if I need to. And then just my love for fighting and be able to fight with anybody".
Discussing his upcoming UFC Noche bout, he believes that the fashion in which he will win the bout will put him in a good position to step in to the UFC 333 featherweight title shot should anything happen to either man. "100 percent, UFC wants to pay me and be like, ‘Yo, Tommy, come be the backup for this fight.’ F*cking send me, bro. I’ll pull up there like a bag of f*cking Cheez-Its and dust any one of them boys, bro".
