UFC champ Sean Strickland calls for a revolution in the United States of America
Polarizing MMA star Sean Strickland has sparked controversy with his latest statement about his nation, the United States of America.
Sean Strickland has suggested that his nation, the United States of America, is in need of a revolution.
"Tarzan's" assertion comes in the wake of the bevy of criticism he's levied at both sides of the socio-political spectrum in the USA.

Sean Strickland has cemented his position as one of the most polarizing personalities in all of MMA in recent years. The California-born combatant has time and again made public statements on a myriad of topics, with many of his statements being deemed bigoted and incendiary by his critics.
On the contrary, his supporters argue that he's always been one to speak his mind rather than sugarcoat his comments.
A longtime MMA fighter and two-time UFC middleweight champion, Strickland has been a vocal critic of the deemed political left, including former POTUS Joe Biden and the Democratic Party. He's also taken several jibes at the deemed political right, which includes his condemnation of incumbent US President Donald Trump and the Republican Party.
Taking to his official X handle, Strickland put forth a post featuring his apparent critique of the surveillance culture in America. Seemingly calling for the supposed tyrants to be sent to the gallows -- punished by hanging -- Strickland called for a revolution in the United States of America. He wrote:
"I am so ashamed of our leaders.. Could you imagine if our founders could see the surveillance state... Flock cameras.. NSA... A revolution needs to happen.. That's the only thing that will fix this.. A gallow pole and lots of them.."

Sean Strickland's UFC title defense conundrum
Sean Strickland's most recent Octagon appearance ended with his emerging victorious by way of split decision against the then-unbeaten MMA phenom Khamzat Chimaev. The American thereby handed Chimaev his first professional MMA loss, in addition to capturing the UFC middleweight belt.
That was back in May. Strickland subsequently focused on the rehabilitation of his shoulder, having dealt with a gruesome injury to it. He underscored that he'd like to fight in December next. Additionally, Chimaev relentlessly pursued a rematch against Strickland for the middleweight belt.
Elsewhere, Nassourdine Imavov recently claimed that he would be fighting Strickland for the UFC middleweight title. Intriguingly, Imavov dropped a unanimous decision verdict in a short-notice light heavyweight matchup against him back in 2023.
Furthermore, there is yet another player in the picture, namely former UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis, who boasts a pair of points wins over Strickland. "DDP" is coming off a unanimous decision win over ex-UFC welterweight champion-turned-middleweight Kamaru Usman in July. Presently, the UFC has yet to officially announce Strickland's next fight, and as such, his title defense conundrum persists.
