Vitor Belfort has taken to Facebook to voice his discontent in the wake of the announcement by UFC officials on January 30 that UFC 184’s originally scheduled main event, Chris Weidman (12-0-0) vs. Vitor Belfort (24-10-0), had to be postponed once again because of injuries sustained by the champion Weidman.

Weidman has been sidelined once again with a rib injury. Dana White spoke during the media scrum following UFC 183 about the situation, making references to the fact that Belfort had demanded an interim title fight and that White had contacted Lyoto Machida in regards to the matchup, who agreed. That bout was ultimately rejected by the former UFC champ Belfort.

In a lengthy response in which he verbalized his frustration with the champion, Belfort made his opinions known on his Facebook fan page. He outlined how he has always been there for his current promoters, while claiming to have earned a shot at the undisputed 185-pound belt, provided the UFC strip Weidman of this distinction while offering Belfort another contender.

From all appearances, another contender was offered to Belfort and his management, as Joana Prado who represents Belfort took to Instagram to respond to the possibility of an interim title fight with Yoel Romero and the former UFC champ.

As a result of the cancellation, the original co-main event, Ronda Rousey (10-0-0) vs Cat Zingano (9-0-0 ,has been promoted to the main event of the card for UFC 184, taking place Feb. 28th on Pay-Per-View.
