Anthony Wint Force to Be Reckoned With After Quick KO in UFC 332

This time around in Zuhosky's Take, Drew is impressed by the lightning-fast knockout from Anthony Wint in UFC 332.
Anthony Wint (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) has had an eventful year in 2026. At the start of the year, the then-5-0 Wint finished off Jamhl Tatum (6-3 MMA) for the Fury FC Heavyweight Championship in Fury FC 117's main event.
During the heat of summer, Wint got the call that he was booked for DWCS 87's headlining bout, squaring off against Matt Adams (6-3 MMA) on Aug. 11. That night, he scored a 34-second knockout by way of punches from back mount.
At the end of the evening, UFC CEO Dana White awarded Anthony Wint, formerly a linebacker for the NFL's New York Jets and CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats, a contract in the No. 1 MMA promotion in the world. From there, he made his UFC debut at the company's Aug. 22 event in Sacramento, drawing the assignment of Terrance Chatman (5-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) in the latter's UFC debut. locking in a first-round technical submission.
Anthony Wint Proves Impressive Once Again in UFC 332 Prelims
Less than two months removed from making his UFC promotional debut, Wint made his first walk to the cage in a flagship UFC event, fighting on the undercard of Saturday's UFC 332. Lucas Armand (6-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) served as Anthony Wint's opponent in his sophomore appearance with the organization.
Although this fight was scheduled to have been three rounds at five minutes per round inside Delta Center, Anthony Wint needed only less than half of one minute to complete his task on Saturday night. Right from the command to fight from referee Mike Beltran, Anthony Wint moved in on Lucas Armand and scored with a barrage of punches.
Armand couldn't withstand his adversary's onslaught, leaving Beltran no other recourse but to halt the action in 23 seconds.
"Anthony Wint continues his ascent!," exclaimed Jon Anik, who worked UFC 332 as the blow-by-blow commentator for UFC 332 on Saturday night.

Immediately following the win, Wint was given the opportunity to be interviewed by Joe Rogan. He began by giving credit to a higher power.
"I'm trying my hardest to love doing this," Anthony Wint said. "When God exalts you, when He establishes you, when He puts you down a path, the Bible says 'Many are called, but few are chosen,' and my calling ain't here. It's to give God glory, man, and this is the way I'm going to do it until He tells me to stop."
Wint made it clear that he wasn't going to exit the cage on Saturday night without a challenge from his opponent.
"I'll tell you what, his name was 'Do or Die,'" he continued. "He was going to have to kill me today."
Anthony Wint Showing Promise Early in UFC Tenure
While Saturday night's contest may have been Anthony Wint's second fight since joining the UFC, he's sent a message to the fighters who may be tasked with facing off with him on a given fight night in the future: He'll provide a challenge on any weekend.
After UFC 332, Anthony Wint remains unbeaten at 9-0. A year ago at this time, a fight in the UFC may have been seen as a dream for Wint and his camp.
Not even two months removed from winning his UFC deal, he fought on a flagship UFC card and won his bout in convincing fashion. If a few more highlight-reel finishes happen, he'll be fighting with a number next to his name in a short while. Whoever his adversary happens to be, he should look at the film of Wint's last three fights to try to crack the case.
