UFC Shanghai takes place Saturday. Here's our viewers guide for those looking to watch the show.

Making their yearly trek to China’s Magic City, UFC Shanghai sets the table for a thrilling early morning of amazing bouts. Capped off by a pivotal bantamweight clash in the main event, Russian star Umar Nurmagomedov seeks to put himself into title contention when he meets Chinese striking whiz Song Yadong. In the second-to-last match of the night, women’s strawweight contenders Yan Xiaonan and Denise Gomes vie for a higher position up the rankings.

UFC Shanghai Main Event

Winner of two straight, Nurmagomedov has been hard at work proving he is still one of the most dangerous men in his weight class. Triumphing over 135-lb dark horse Mario Bautista and former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo, the Eagles MMA product can make himself undeniable for a championship match if he should topple the hometown hero Yadong definitively.

Having also logged a victory over Figueiredo this past May, Song remains an elite figure in the bantamweight class. Wanting to show that he can break into top contender status, “The Kung Fu Kid” is looking to blow up the SPD Bank Oriental Sports Center with a highlight-reel statement.

UFC Shanghai Co-Main Event

In the not-so-distant past, Yan was once known as one of the premier 115-lb fighters in the business, with her having challenged Zhang Weili for the belt back in 2024 at UFC 300. Back after more than a year on the sidelines, the self-proclaimed “Fury” is aiming to bring just that to the Octagon this weekend at UFC Shanghai.

Undefeated since 2023, Gomes has flourished as a mixed martial artist, netting four consecutive wins, while earning one Performance of the Night award after starching Elise Reed. Competing in her first contest of 2026, “Dee” is about to remind the rest of the crowd at strawweight that she is an up-and-coming juggernaut that has UFC gold on her mind.
