Six More Matches Set for Fury Pro Grappling 3

CFFC’s grappling affiliate, Fury Pro Grappling, does not seem to be slowing down, as additional bouts for the December 30th event, Fury Pro Grappling 3, were announced via Instagram.

Sean Brady vs. Craig Jones

One of the world’s best grapplers, Craig Jones, is coming off his victory over UFC legend Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone at last weekend’s CJJ Worlds event. So far he has been undefeated this year, winning bouts against Ronaldo Junior, Luiz Panza, Tye Ruotolo, and Davi Ramos

His opponent will be making his submission grappling debut, but Sean Brady is not an opponent to be taken lightly. The undefeated UFC welterweight competitor has an unblemished 15 – 0 professional MMA record and is ranked ninth in the division. He is a BJJ black belt under Daniel Gracie

Clay Guida vs. Billy Quarantillo

No introduction is needed for “The Carpenter”, as the UFC legend makes his second outing in submission grappling competition.  The first took place at Quintet Ultra, where Guida lost to Gregor Gracie and his bout with Renato Sobral ended in a time-limit draw. He lacks any formal grappling background and relies on his wrestling harnessed back in his high school and university years.

Facing him will be fellow UFC competitor Billy Quarantillo. A BJJ black belt under Matt Arroyo, Quarantillo will be making his submission grappling debut. In his professional MMA career, he has never lost by submission.

Neil Magny vs. Joaquim Silva

A BJJ brown belt under Miguel Torres and Andre Leite, Neil Magny will be switching his focus from MMA to submission grappling. The collegiate wrestler will be squaring off against Joaquim Silva, who also competes in UFC and is BJJ black belt himself.

Chase Hooper vs. Renato Moicano

In another clash of UFC fighters, Chase Hooper will fight against Renato Moicano. Hooper was a BJJ Juvenile Pan-American champion at blue belt, while Moicano himself is a black belt under Alex Leleco.

Kevin Holland vs. Kody Hamrah

The outspoken Kevin Holland will try to show everyone his improved grappling game after being dominated on the mat in his last two UFC outings. He will face Kody Hamrah, who picked up a decision victory over longtime MMA veteran Gesias Cavalcante at Fury Pro Grappling 2.

Eddy Torres vs. Alex Caceres

After being forced out of his featherweight title fight at CFFC 104, “The Taino Warrior” Eddy Torres returns to action against UFC veteran “Bruce Leeroy” Alex Caceres. Torres has won seven fights across professional and amateur MMA action, with four coming by submission. All but one of Caceres’s finishes have come by submission in his MMA career.
