Super Rizin 4 announces seven matches for summer show

Rizin has announced their first lineup of matches for their big summer show, Super Rizin 4. At a press conference Saturday night at the Zojoji Temple in Tokyo, CEO Nobuyuki Sakakibara announced seven matches, including two title matches. More matches are expected to be announced after Rizin’s show this weekend from Sapporo. Here are the matches that were announced for Super Rizin 4.

Super Rizin 4: Kleber Koike vs Mikuru Asakura

In a rematch Mikuru Asakura requested, he will look to get a win back from former two-time Rizin featherweight champion Kleber Koike. The two met back at Rizin 28 in 2021. The match saw Koike win by triangle choke in the main event, which was also Rizin’s first Tokyo Dome show.

Super Rizin 4: Naoki Inoue vs Ryuya Fukuda

Former UFC fighter Naoki Inoue will be defending his Rizin bantamweight championship against Deep bantamweight champion Ryuya Fukuda in Super Rizin 4. Inoue made his first successful defense at Rizin 50, defeating Yuki Motoya. Fukuda is undefeated in Rizin and beat Kenta Takizawa to become the Deep bantamweight champion.

Super Rizin 4: Seika Izawa vs Yu Jin Shin

Seika Izawa will defend her super atomweight championship against Rizin newcomer Yu Jin Shin at Super Rizin 4. Izawa is undefeated in her pro MMA career and will be making her second title defense against Shin. Shin is also undefeated and fought for the vacant Road FC Atomweight Championship, but Shin missed weight, resulting in her win being overturned to a no-contest.

Other matches announced include former Bellator lightweight champion Patricky Pitbull taking on Deep lightweight champion Shunta Nomura. Former UFC fighter Masanori Kanehara, after a one-year-plus layoff taking on kickboxer turned MMA fighter Ya-Man. The Kazakhstan veteran Karshyga Dautbek will take on prospect Kyoma Akimoto. Two young super atomweight grapplers will face off as 20-year-old Moeri Suda will take on 17-year-old Noel.

Also scheduled will be undefeated Rizin featherweight champion Razhabali Shaydullaev vs TBD in a Rizin featherweight title match. The Rizin heavyweight GP semi-finals will take place. The opening round of the Rizin flyweight 8-man GP will also be taking place.
