Light heavyweights headline this week with the UFC heading back to Las Vegas as MMASucka provides UFC Vegas 25 results throughout the card. Following back-to-back losses, including his most recent outing for the vacant title, Dominick Reyes looks to get a win. Standing in his way will be former Rizin light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka.

In Reyes’ last two fights, he has challenged for the UFC light heavyweight title. The first of those was against the undisputed champion Jon Jones. Reyes put up a very close fight but unfortunately he would end up losing by unanimous decision. After the title was vacated by Jones later that year, Reyes got another chance, this time at the vacant title, as he faced Jan Blachowicz at UFC 253. Reyes came up short once again, this time being finished, as Blachowicz won the title with a second round TKO win. Reyes looks to get back and track and work towards another shot and picking up a big win at UFC Vegas 25 would surely help.

As for Prochazka, he made his UFC debut in his last fight, facing off against Volkan Oezdemir at UFC 251. Prochazka won the fight that night, finishing Oezdemir in the second round by knockout. The win gave Prochazka his eleventh straight as well as his ninth straight finish by KO/TKO. If he can add another big finish to his list by taking out Reyes, Prochazka could be one or two fights away from a title shot.

In the co-main event, Giga Chikadze takes on MMA veteran Cub Swanson in a featherweight bout. Chikadze will be entering the fight on a seven fight win streak. Last year, he fought a total of four times, winning each outing. The first three were decision wins over Jamall EmmersIrwin Rivera, and Omar Morales. In his most recent outing, Chikadze finished Jamey Simmons by first round TKO at UFC Vegas 13.

He will look to make it eight in a row as he takes on Swanson, who has won his last two fights. Swanson has only appeared twice in the last year and a half or so. The first of those meetings occurred in October 2019 as he defeated Kron Gracie by unanimous decision. Over a year later, in his last outing, Swanson knocked out Daniel Pineda in the second round of their meeting at UFC 256.

Kicking off the main card will be a bantamweight fight between Merab Dvalishvili and Cody Stamann. After losing his first two outings in the UFC, Dvalishvili has won his last five straight. As for Stamann, he is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Jimmie Rivera.

Following that fight will be a middleweight bout between Sean Strickland and Krzysztof Jotko. Strickland enters the fight on a three fight win streak, finishing two of those three, while Jotko has also won his last three.

Finally, before the co-main event, there will be a light heavyweight bout between the always exciting Ion Cutelaba and Dustin Jacoby. Cutelaba has lost his last two straight to Magomed Ankalaev while Jacoby has won his last four straight.
