This weekend’s main event goes down between two top ten UFC middleweights as they look to crack the top five of the division while MMASucka provides UFC Vegas 36 results. Facing off in the main event will be fifth ranked Derek Brunson and seventh ranked Darren Till.

UFC Vegas 36 Results – Main Event

After back to back losses in 2018 to Ronaldo Souza and Israel Adesanya, Brunson has since won four straight fights. He started off with back to back unanimous decision wins over Elias Theodorou and Ian Heinisch in 2019. In his only fight of 2020, Brunson picked up a TKO win over Edmen Shahbazyan in their UFC Vegas 5 main event. In his most recent outing, Derek Brunson picked up his fourth straight win with a unanimous decision win over Kevin Holland earlier this year.

As for Till, he has not fought since last summer as he enters the fight with a 1-3 record in his last four fights. After dropping back to back losses at welterweight, first in a title match against Tyron Woodley and then to Jorge Masvidal, Till moved up to middleweight. In his first fight back at 185 since 2014, Till picked up a win over Kelvin Gastelum by split decision at UFC 244. Till’s most recent outing was in July 2020 when he faced former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker in the main event of UFC on ESPN 14. Till lost that fight after five rounds as Whittaker won by unanimous decision.

UFC Vegas 36 Results – Co-Main Event

Saturday night’s co-main event features a heavyweight fight as one of heavyweights brightest prospects, Tom Aspinall, faces Sergey Spivak. Aspinall enters the fight with a six fight win streak behind him as he has gone undefeated in the UFC at 3-0. He made his debut in 2020, the same night Whittaker beat Till, as he finished Jake Collier by first round TKO in less than a minute that night. His next outing saw him pick up another TKO win, this time in just over a minute, as he finished Alan Baudot. In his most recent outing earlier this year, Aspinall picked up his biggest win yet as he submitted former heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski at UFC Vegas 19.

Aspinall’s opponent, Spivak, will be entering the fight on a three fight win streak. Spivak’s last loss took place in 2020 when he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Marcin Tybura. Since then, he has won his last three straight fights. Immediately following the loss, Spivak picked up a majority decision win over Carlos Felipe five months later. He then picked up a TKO win over Jared Vanderaa in his next fight. In his most recent fight, Sergey Spivak won his third straight with a unanimous decision win over Aleksei Oleinik.

UFC Vegas 36 Results – Main Card

Kicking off the main card on Saturday will be a lightweight fight as former Cage Warriors featherweight champion Paddy Pimblett makes his UFC debut against Luigi Vendramini. Coming into the fight, Pimblett has won his last two fights at Cage Warriors 113 and 122 as he picked up a TKO win over Decky Dalton followed by a submission win over Davide Martinez. As for Vendramini, he holds a 1-1 record in his last two fights as his last win came in 2020 with a first round TKO over Jessin Ayari. In his most recent outing, he suffered a majority decision loss to Fares Ziam.

Following the lightweight fight will be a light heavyweight matchup between Modestas Bukauskas and Khalil Rountree Jr.. Coming into this fight, Bukauskas has lost his last two fights in a row. Among those fights he suffered a knockout loss to Jimmy Crute as well as a split decision loss to Michal Oleksiejczuk in his last outing. Rountree also enters the fight on a two fight skid as he suffered a TKO loss to Ion Cutelaba followed by a UD loss to Marcin Prachnio. Each fighter looks to snap their losing streak as they each look for their first win in over a year.

Finally, before the co-main event will be a welterweight fight between Alex Morono and David Zawada. Morono enters the fight with a 2-2 record dating back to the beginning of 2020. His 2020 started with a knockout loss to Khaos Williams, followed by a UD win over Rhys McKee. He would then drop a UD loss to Anthony Pettis before picking up a TKO win over Donald Cerrone in his last outing. As for Zawada, he has only fought one time in that same time span as he lost a split decision against Ramazan Emeev earlier this year.
