Road to UFC Day 2 Results

Day two of Road to UFC goes down today, with nine more exciting fights featuring Asia’s best, taking place in the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The first round of the tournaments concludes today on UFC Fight Pass, with fighters from seven countries vying for a UFC contract. Follow here for live Road to UFC results from day 2.

LFA, RIZIN, and DWCS Alums Contend for a Contract

Following an action-packed first day of fights, sixteen more fighters look to make it to the semi-final round. Several of the favorites of the whole competition compete today, including former LFA title challenger Yuma Horiuchi. Horiuchi fought Charles Johnson to a split decision for the LFA flyweight belt last year before smashing undefeated Mark Climaco a few months later at LFA 117.

The 24-year-old trains at Team Oyama in California and is a longtime DEEP veteran. Despite his clear favorite status, he fights another one of the most notable names in the tournament, Thailand’s Topnoi Kiwram. Topnoi is a Muay Thai killer and coaches at Bangtao Muay Thai in Phuket, Thailand. He has already fought on an international stage with RIZIN and UAE Warriors.

Xie Bin, who competed on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2021, returns to fight Lee Jeong Young. Xie is a ten-time veteran of ONE Championship and trains at the UFC Performance Institute in Shanghai. His opponent, Lee, is a ROAD FC featherweight champion.

Wulijiburen is the only fighter in Road to UFC to have already fought for the UFC, going 0-3 from 2017 to 2019. Since being released, the ethnic Mongolian has gone 4-1 in China and began training at the UFC PI in Shanghai. He will be looking to restart his tenure in the Octagon when he takes on Japanese submission specialist Shohei Nose.

Other standouts on the card include Asikeerbai Jinensibieke– a JCK lightweight champion in 2021- and Rinya Nakamura of Japan. Nakamura is a decorated wrestler with only a year of experience in pro MMA. Nevertheless, Nakamura has already amassed a 4-0 record with three knockouts.
