BKFC 39 Results

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship is set to touch down in the commonwealth of Virginia for the first time tonight, as BKFC 39 goes down live from the Scope Arena in Norfolk.

The main event comes at bantamweight, as champion Reggie Barnett Jr. defends his championship for the first time against Daniel Alvarez. After two unsuccessful attempts at gold against Johnny Bedford, Barnett finally saw gold for the first time when he defeated Jarod Grant for the interim title at BKFC Fight Night Tampa 2. He then followed that up by beating Geane Herrera in a non-title affair at BKFC 32. He was then promoted to the undisputed champion following the retirement of Bedford. Getting the short-notice title shot is “Machete” Alvarez, who won his BKFC debut by first-round stoppage at BKFC 25.

The strawweight title is on the line in the co-main event, as Britain Hart also makes her first title defense, rematching Jenny Savage. The two first faced off at BKFC 19, with Hart picking up the third-round TKO victory. Hart is no stranger to rematches, having rematched both Christine Ferea and Bec Rawlings in back-to-back fights, losing the former at BKFC Knucklemania 2 and winning the latter at BKFC 26. After those fights and a career at flyweight, she dropped down a weight class in her last fight to face Charisa Sigala for the inaugural strawweight title at BKFC 29, scoring a unanimous decision win. Savage has gone 2-0 since the loss, earning a split decision win over Delaney Bailey at BKFC Fight Night Tampa and a 38-second TKO over Veronika Dmitriyeva at BKFC 29.

MMA Sucka has fight fans covered with BKFC 39 results, with the preliminary card starting live at 8pm ET/5pm PT on BKFC’s YouTube page, followed by the main card at 9pm ET/6pm PT on the BKFC app.
