Anshul Jubli reveals potential UFC return timeline after lengthy layoff
Anshul Jubli has hinted at his UFC return after spending months training in Las Vegas following his lengthy absence from the octagon.
Only active male Indian fighter Anshul Jubli has been out of action since suffering a devastating 19-second knockout loss to Quillan Salkilld at UFC 312. It was Salkilld’s UFC debut, and he has since cracked the lightweight Top 10, while Jubli has not fought since.
Fans are eagerly waiting for Jubli’s fight announcement or any news on when he will be back, and it seems that he has accidentally leaked his potential return date to the octagon.
Anshul Jubli reveals potential December return while training in Las Vegas
During N3on’s live stream, the streamer asked Jubli how long he has been in Vegas; the Indian shared that it has been 2-3 months. The streamer followed up by asking how much longer he is planning to be in Vegas. Then the ‘King on Lions’ revealed that he wants to make his return to the octagon and is planning to fight in December.
“I'm hoping to get a fight in December,” Jubli said.

Jubli earned the UFC contract by winning the Road to UFC lightweight tournament back in 2023. However, the momentum didn't carry well in the UFC.
In his UFC debut, he dominated two rounds, but his cardio didn't hold up, and he lost via knockout at the hands of Mike Breeden. He then suffered a quick knockout loss to Salkilld. He received a lot of backlash and trolls on the internet.
That said, Jubli seems not to let the trolls and constant being in memes affect him and is focused on his training. For that, he has moved to Vegas and is training at UFC Apex with former UFC champion Merab Dvalishvili and other fighters. Recently, his grappling exchange with UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland has gone viral, and Strickland, in his unfiltered, hilarious way, has praised the Indian fighter.

Strickland, known for his unfiltered personality and willingness to use provocative language both inside and outside the octagon, reacted to their training session on X. In the post, the UFC middleweight champion made a joke before going on to praise the Indian fighter.
"Bro said, "Someone is hacking into your bank account. I need your social and password to stop it… Real talk, this man is holding it down for India when I'm back in two weeks, I'm gonna help him and bring soap,” Strickland wrote on X.

Jubli holds a professional record of seven wins and two losses, with both defeats coming in the UFC. In his next fight, he will need to deliver a dominant performance and secure an impressive victory, as he could be at risk of being cut if he loses his next outing.
