Damian Pinas Addresses Baisangur Susurkaev's Inflammatory Remark With Blunt Response

Aruban middleweight Damian Pinas is all set to fight Andrey Pulyaev on the prelims card at UFC 332, but 'The Baba Yaga' wants to settle the score elsewhere, with his bad blood with Baisangur Susurkaev gaining new ground. 

Damian Pinas Dismisses Baisangur Susurkaev's Conviction

Damian Pinas has long eyed a matchup against the undefeated middleweight, first calling out the Chechen after his UFC 329  knockout over Cesar Almeida. Susurkaev has clapped back with a cocky comment, "I can eat all fighters like you," under a post by MMA Fighting.

Pinas isn't bothered by that claim, however, believing it's nothing more than theatrics.

"It's only talk. Show up, and we're going to fight now. Show up. Yeah, that's what I want," the 24-year-old laughed off Susurkaev's boast.

In fact, the Baba Yaga already feels confident that he can end the fight even before the three bells, doubling down on his KO claim. 

"Next year, we're going to get it. We're going to see it. And I promise you, I'm going to finish you," Pinas added. 

However, as threatening as the Aruban is, with a 100% finishing rate across his victories, Susurkaev cannot be taken lightly either. The 'Hunter' boasts a perfect record, producing 9 KOs and 2 submission wins. 

With both fighters' clean resumes in the UFC, it'll definitely be a feast for the combat fans if the matchup gets booked for next year. Damian Pinas, however, is ready for whatever challenge the division throws at him. 

Damian Pinas Opens Up on Brendan Allen Beef

Despite only two outings in the UFC, Damian Pinas has continued to make his presence felt with his words. That brash persona has definitely made him a divisive fighter in the division, notably spilling over at #4 middleweight Brendan Allen. 

Over a series of tweets on X, the Baba Yaga poked the bear, hoping to secure a matchup. 

"This will be a nice to brake in the ranking easy night out for me," Pinas wrote about a fight with Allen, while in another he claimed to "whoop his a—".

Addressing these comments in the same interview, Pinas confirmed that there was nothing personal against the ranked fighter. Still, he remains just as confident that he belongs at the top of the division.

"I promise you, a lot of the top rank in the middleweight, top five, top ten, I can beat a lot of them. They're like three of them can give me problems, but most of them I can beat them."

Having called out even former UFC champion Israel Adesanya, Damian Pinas' forthright attitude gets even clearer. However, before he can get a shot at anyone else in the division, the Baba Yaga has to get past the obstacle of Pulyaev first.
