Former UFC Middleweight Calls out ‘Free Agent’ Michael Venom Page for a Fight
Michael Venom Page already has a fight offer from a former UFC middleweight just days after his last UFC encounter.
The events related to Michael Venom Page's continuation in the UFC suggest that the two parties are drifting apart. However, Page's options haven't dried up despite the completion of his UFC contract, as a former UFC middleweight recently proposed the idea of a showdown.
Former UFC Middleweight in a Similar Contractual Condition to Michael Venom Page
The former UFC middleweight in the discussion is Derek Brunson, who went 14-7 in the UFC before moving to the PFL. 'The One' took on Ray Cooper III in his first PFL fight in November 2023, but didn't continue in the organisation despite winning the encounter, and currently stands as a free agent.
On the other hand, Page had expressed his wish to tweak his fighting style if he earns a new contract from the UFC, but things aren't going that way. Following his lackluster encounter against Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC Paris, Page was removed from the UFC rankings, which indicates that he will have to accept free agency for the time being.
Brunson viewed Page's release as a viable opportunity to propose a fight between them. He shared an X update about 12 hours ago, wishing to know what 'MVP' was up to. It read, "What Michael Venom Page doing 👀?!?!"

It took Brunson close to three hours to learn that Page was also a free agent now. Subsequently, 'The One' shared another X update to put forward the proposal of the "free agent" fight between them. Its caption read, "2 Free agents."

Regardless of whether the fight happens or not, choosing to fight Page probably would not end well for Brunson's record. While it has been just three days since 'MVP' had his last UFC encounter, Brunson hasn't entered the cage to compete since November 2024.
