Rapper Machine Gun Kelly reignites his rivalry with Conor McGregor.

Conor McGregor's UFC 329 implosion sparked every kind of reaction imaginable. While some questioned whether the Irishman should ever fight again, others sympathized with another cruel injury setback after years away from the Octagon.

For one longtime adversary far away from the MMA world, the moment wasn't an occasion for compassion. Instead, it was a godsend opportunity to reopen old wounds.

Machine Gun Kelly, whose feud with McGregor dates back to their infamous red carpet clash in 2021, made it clear he had no intention of easing up on the former two-division champion, even after seeing his comeback end in heartbreak just 69 seconds into the fight

Machine Gun Kelly Refuses to Back Down After Trolling Conor McGregor's Setback

Just over a minute into the opening round, the former UFC champion attempted an explosive jumping roundhouse kick, only for his right knee to buckle awkwardly on the landing. Unable to continue, McGregor was ruled out after just 69 seconds, with UFC CEO Dana White later revealing doctors initially suspected a torn ACL.

As fans processed the shocking conclusion with heavy hearts, MGK wasted little time weighing in. The rapper first shared an Instagram thread featuring the now-famous image of McGregor throwing a punch at him during their heated altercation at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards.

MGK paired it with images and clips from McGregor's injury against Holloway, prompting criticism from fans who found the timing poor taste.

In the aftermath, rather than apologizing, the 36-year-old doubled down. In a follow-up Instagram reel, the musician dismissed calls to take down the post or to show sympathy toward McGregor, adding more ammunition in true “Mystic Mac” fashion instead.

"I'm aware I did a post yesterday and I should probably apologize for... Absolutely nothing, homie! F**k this dude, that's how beef works, we don't like each other."

Machine Gun Kelly Says He Didn't Target McGregor due to Age

Responding to those who accused him of mocking McGregor's age and injury, MGK insisted the comparison didn't apply. He lambasted, "Everyone is saying, 'Oh, you commented on his age, he is only one year older than you... about his knees.' Hey, guess what, we don't age the same. My knees are awesome."

The 36-year-old also revisited their infamous 2021 VMAs confrontation, rejecting claims that he would never say those things to McGregor in person - "Oh, you wouldn't say it to his face.' I already did. That's why a picture exists of this little leprechaun punching up and missing me and me not flinching."

Reflecting on the same, he claimed there was more to the altercation than what fans had seen publicly, adding, "Where the f**k is the rest of the footage where we tossed this little guy like a piece of dirty drawers across the red carpet?"

Machine Gun Kelly with More Vicious Shots Against Conor McGregor

MGK wasn't done there. "Buddy, you look like a drunk ugly extra in a Sherlock Holmes movie... Worst 10 seconds I've ever seen. Thank you for the walkout being longer than the fight,” He continued the tirade with another personal jab before ending with one final dig at McGregor's mohawk.

The comments marked the latest chapter in a feud that has lingered since the 2021 VMAs, when McGregor approached MGK and his then-partner Megan Fox on the red carpet, leading to a confrontation that quickly went viral.

Paulo Costa, Andrew Tate strike Very Different Tone

That said, not everyone saw McGregor's injury as an opportunity to take shots at him. Several prominent names, including former foes, instead offered support during one of the toughest moments of his career.

Former UFC middleweight title challenger Paulo Costa responded directly to McGregor's emotional social media post, where the Irishman described the injury as "hell" and admitted he was in a dark place following the devastating outcome.

The Brazilian encouraged the former champion to stay resilient despite the latest obstacle. He wrote, "Stay strong Champ, you're being tested by occult forces right now, it's clear. Overcome it as you always did. God keep u strong!"

Controversial social media influencer, Andrew Tate, also came to McGregor’s aid, criticizing those who mocked the 37-year-old for no longer being the fighter he once was. In a two-minute video posted online, Tate argued that the setback shouldn't overshadow everything McGregor accomplished during his prime -

"Laughing at somebody because they can't do it like they used to doesn't detract from the achievements they've already cemented in time."

Andrew Tate Comes to McGregor's Defense

He also reflected on McGregor's remarkable impact on combat sports, reminding critics of the aura the Irishman once carried, adding, "But still, there's a period in human history in which every single person on the planet respected and feared Conor McGregor."
