Joshua Van Predicts Brutal Outcome for Alexandre Pantoja in Upcoming Face-Off

Alexandre Pantoja might be the veteran UFC flyweight, but he's about to face tough competition from his next opponent. Having lost his prized championship against Joshua Van, the 36-year-old is looking to get his revenge at UFC 331. However, ahead of the fight, Van has predicted a bad ending for the former champion once again. 

Looking to defend his UFC gold, Van is ready to go all out, and  he believes that there's no better way to cap off his title defense than knocking out Pantoja once again. Reflecting on the same, the UFC flyweight champion said, “We've studied him and seen a little hole he has in his game that we are gonna capitalize on. There's a couple things I can't speak on but it's going to be done within 3 rounds.”

Fans Don't Buy Joshua Van as Viable Champion

Now, the battle between the two will have a lot at stake. First up, there are still some doubts about Van’s champion status. Many believe that the current champion is just a paper addition. 

If Van can pull off a dominant victory at UFC 331, things will look extremely favorable for him. On the contrary, Pantoja has carried the division for so long, yet  he feels that people did not give him enough respect. This bout  is a golden opportunity to change that narrative. 

Meanwhile, trying to choose between the two, Brandon Moreno sided with Pantoja. 

Brandon Moreno Backs Alexandre Pantoja to Regain Title

Moreno recently had a discussion with Ariel Helwani. While he mostly talked about his career and his recent victory against Morales, the 32-year-old also delved into the upcoming title bout. Picking a probable winner, Moreno stated that he felt Pantoja would walk away with the win. 

He said, “Obviously, you never know, maybe, Pantoja finds a way to win. I mean, he always find a way, to, to ge- get out of trouble and finds the, the, the way to get the victory. He get the takedown and control and everything.”

A lot of speculation is going around. But fans will wait to see what happens when the duo lock horns inside the octagon.
