Max Holloway clapped back at Islam Makhachev's dig on his recent stream in the most dramatic way possible, flexing all the UFC belts he has.

Max Holloway is not one to let online disrespect slide, especially when it comes to championship hardware. The former featherweight king turned BMF champion just sent a loud reminder to Islam Makhachev, and anyone typing on his behalf, that he knows a thing or two about UFC gold.

Gold Standard Clapback

The back-and-forth kicked off right after UFC 330 in Philadelphia, where Makhachev successfully defended his welterweight title against Ian Machado Garry via unanimous decision. Despite having vacated his 155-pound lightweight strap last year, the Dagestani champion celebrated in the Octagon flexing two title belts. Holloway caught the moment during a Kick stream and called out the extra hardware. "Why the f**k do you have two belts? For aura? You're just defending one belt, bro," Holloway quipped.

It did not take long for a response to pop up in the Instagram comments. Makhachev's account fired back with a subtle dig: "I don't know bro. It's even too heavy to hold. But you don't understand, sorry."

Never one to get out-talked, Holloway went live to set the record straight in legendary fashion. Wearing seven UFC championship and BMF belts, "Blessed" held up his massive hardware collection to completely shut down the shade.

"I kind of know how heavy these can be. These are heavy, bro," Holloway said while flexing his impressive trophy room. "Don't tell me I don't know what they feel like."

Holloway did not stop at the champ. Believing the comment came from Makhachev’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, Holloway took a direct shot at the power agent. "Don't ever come for my throat, bro, especially when you're hiding behind another man's Instagram," Holloway added, calling out Abdelaziz.

With Makhachev riding a 17-fight UFC winning streak and ruling the welterweight division, and Holloway coming off his iconic run at 145 and 155 pounds, this feud has fans salivating. Whether or not these two superstars ever clash inside the Octagon, Holloway proved once again that nobody flexes UFC silverware quite like the BMF.
