"I was feeling calm as ever" Sean O'Malley Discusses White House Win
Sean O'Malley has been talking about his victory over Aiemann Zahabi at the UFC White House event.
UFC Freedom 250 saw Sean O'Malley pick up a second-round knockout over the in-form Aiemann Zahabi. The odds were certainly in the American's favour, especially at The White House, and he lived up to that deserved confidence from the bookies.
After a tentative first round which saw just 22 strikes landed combined, both men increased their output in round two. It would be O'Malley who would get the better of Zahabi with a one-shot knockout.
He's never short of confidence, but he's admitted that he was supremely confident ahead of this one for one reason.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, O'Malley stated, "I noticed Aiemann's breathing towards the end of the intros, I noticed Aiemann's breathing. I was like 'oh, he actually kind of looks a little bit nervous which I have never stood across from somebody and thought that. Every time I've stood across from somebody, they've looked ready to go and I was feeling calm as ever."
What's Next for the Suga Show?
As of yet, we don't know if the win at UFC Freedom 250 was enough to earn him a shot at gold. The bantamweight championship will be contested at UFC 333 between the champion, Petr Yan and the former long-time champion, Merab Dvalishvili, in an exciting trilogy match.
Song Yadong has just recorded the biggest and best win of his career as he knocked out Umar Nurmagomedov in the second round of their UFC Shanghai main event.
Mario Bautista is also on a strong run of form and has picked up back-to-back big wins.
The likelihood is that Sean O'Malley will need to record another win in order to get a title shot, especially if Merab wins at UFC 333. What is in his favour, however, is that he holds a win over the current champion Petr Yan, and the Russian may want that one back.
