Now 2-0 in his second stint in the UFC, Daukaus is yet to see the second minute, let alone the second round. He’s finished his last two opponents in under a minute and earned his place on the card.

Let’s take a look at the UFC Freedom 250 clash between Bo Nickal and Kyle Daukaus, the betting odds and interesting lines to look out for.
UFC Freedom 250 - Bo Nickal vs Kyle Daukaus Betting Odds
Kyle Daukaus wins in round 1 (+700)
As we mentioned, Daukaus is in a rich vein of form and has finished his last two fights in under a minute. On his current six-fight winning run, four have come in the first round. Of his 17 wins in MMA overall, he’s finished eight in the first round.
As the underdog, Daukaus has nothing to lose. He can go into the fight with Nickal and throw caution to the wind, look to leave it all out there and not worry too much about the consequences. If Nickal looks to wrestle early, The D'Arce Knight is more than capable on the ground. With 12 career finishes via submission, many via brabo choke, Daukaus could end things early and utilise the wrestling-heavy attacks of Nickal, snatch his neck and do so in the first round.

Bo Nickal to win via TKO/KO (+190)
After losing to Reinier de Ridder, Nickal was at a fork in the road in his career. Was he hyped too early? Is he actually that good? Did he bite off more than he can chew? He was matched with Rodolfo Vieira, a BJJ master. Many believed that again, Nickal would be out-gunned on the ground and would be forced to strike, something that exposed him against RDR. Nickal silenced the naysayers, knocking out Vieira with a brutal headkick in the final round after a dominant display.
The threat of Nickal’s wrestling can open up attacks on the feet. He clearly has power, as shown in his strong victory over Val Woodburn. He’s adding more weapons to his arsenal with every fight, and ultimately, he needs to be the whole package if he’s to reach his potential.
If Nickal can wrestle and threaten the takedown regularly, he can get Daukaus second-guessing; it’ll open up attacks on the feet, potentially leading to a TKO/KO victory.
Bo Nickal wins via decision (+290)
Bo Nickal knows the threat of Daukaus on the ground. There’s a reason that the 33 year old has 12 submissions to his name. Nickal has to be cautious if he’s able to get the fight to the ground. This could lead to a fairly boring fight. If Nickal is able to get his opponent to the ground, which his average of 3.20 takedowns per 15 minutes suggests that he will, he may look to stall on the ground.

Although Daukaus has a strong takedown defence of 82%, Nickal’s wrestling is of a different level. In front of President Trump, on the White House lawn on this most special of occasions, Nickal will likely revert to what got him to the dance, solid, relentless, drilled wrestling. It could be boring, but it’ll certainly be effective.
