Yousri Belgaroui cuts epic promo after spectacular TKO at Noche UFC 4

Yousri Belgaroui seems to have piqued fan interest not only with his outstanding performance in his latest MMA fight but also with his passionate post-fight promo. 

Also known as "Baby Face Assassin," Belgaroui proceeded to allude to a different moniker altogether -- seemingly anointing himself as the "Boogeyman" after his scary win at Noche UFC 4 in Glendale, Arizona, on September 12.

Yousri Belgaroui was initially booked to face one-time interim UFC middleweight title challenger and promotional veteran Kelvin Gastelum in a highly anticipated middleweight clash at Noche UFC 4. Nevertheless, Gastelum withdrew owing to an injury last month, and Djorden Santos was roped in as the replacement opponent. 

Belgaroui, with his slick striking skills, dispatched the short-notice opponent in a relatively short period. A stunning jab marked the beginning of the end, followed by a barrage of punches to the head and body, which was capped off by a pair of thunderous right hands. He stopped Santos via TKO at the 4:25-minute mark of the very first round.

During his post-fight Octagon interview with UFC legend Daniel Cormier, Belgaroui was asked about his current win streak, with a trio of consecutive finishes in it. He responded by stating, "Yeah. I do what I get paid for, right? They line them up, and I knock them out. That's what the 'Boogeyman' stands for." 

Additionally, alluding to his underdog approach in the psychological aspect of his fights, he explained, "Yeah. It's less pressure fighting as an underdog, right? So look at this -- more pressure, more to lose. But these are the things you also gotta solve."

The Tunisian-Dutch kickboxing savant upped the ante and cut a fiery promo against the top UFC middleweights, saying, "Now I want to solve the top 15 guy. Let's get it. Don't be scared when we call you! Pick up your phone! Don't hide! 'Cause I'm coming to f**king knock you out, mot**rf**ker! 'Boogeyman' is here!"

Yousri Belgaroui, training with Glory Kickboxing and UFC great Alex Pereira, continues his MMA ascent

Yousri Belgaroui fought former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya twice in the sport of kickboxing, getting outpointed both times. 

Belgaroui also fought former UFC middleweight and light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira thrice in kickboxing -- outpointing the Brazilian the first time around and losing via TKO in the rematch and by KO in their trilogy clash. It's noteworthy that his kickboxing matches against Adesanya and Pereira transpired before they rose to MMA superstardom in the UFC. 

The towering former Glory Kickboxing staple has trained alongside Pereira, who's currently a UFC heavyweight contender, over the past several years. Belgaroui, a DWCS (Dana White's Contender Series) alum, made his UFC main roster debut late last year, besting Azamat Bekoev via TKO.

It was followed by his TKO win over Mansur Adbul-Malik earlier this year. The 34-year-old's next, and latest, Octagon outing saw him beat Djorden Santos at Noche UFC 4.
