PFL New York takes place Friday night. Hank Strandberg presents this handy viewers' guide.

Taking place on Long Island, PFL New York brings to the table a thrilling bout in the lightweight class, as current divisional kingpin Usman Nurmagomedov meets former Bellator standout Archie Colgan. In the second-to-last match of the evening, Dakota Ditcheva makes her long-awaited return to action when she battles reputable Dutch kickboxer Denise Kielholtz.

For nearly four years, Nurmagomedov has stood amongst the best 155-lb fighters in the world after winning the Bellator title back in 2022. Having already defended his PFL strap for the first time last February against Alfie Davis, the 28-year old phenom enters the smart cage this weekend as the pound-for-pound best athlete on the roster.

Undefeated as both an amateur and professional, Colgan earned a plethora of remarkable wins over the course of his career, including victories over Manoel Sousa and Jay Jay Wilson. Competing in his first world title bout, the Colorado native is seeking to end the reign of one of the most dominant champions the lightweight category has ever seen.

A massive fan-favorite among the company's premier names, Ditcheva has left a trail of utter domination in her wake, racking up a perfect PFL record of 10-0, finishing all but one of her opponents. After more than a year away from the smart cage, “Dangerous” is looking to remind the rest of the flyweight upper echelon that she cannot be stopped.

Fighting in Bellator for the majority of her time as a mixed martial artist, Kielholtz has traded hits with several distinguished 125-lb competitors, such as Kana Watanabe, Sumiko Inaba, and Juliana Velasquez. Accruing a stellar kickboxing record of 48-3, “Miss Dynamite” is coming to make her adversary’s triumphant comeback a night to remember for all the wrong reasons.
