UFC Vegas 123 happens on Halloween at the Meta Apex. We examine the undercard:

UFC Vegas 123 fight week is here. Halloween Night offers a slew of tricks and treats, so if you've been tasked with handing out those fun-sized candy bars to the children in your neighborhood, you'll have a good soundtrack to listen to while you're doing so, this week's UFC event.

Meta Apex serves as the setting of the card on All Hallow's Eve. Live coverage of UFC Vegas 123 begins with the undercard at 5 pm ET/ 2 pm PT.

Inside the United States of America, this show is streamed gavel-to-gavel on Paramount Plus. Main card action follows at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT.  If there are no alterations to this weekend's schedule, the final version of UFC Vegas 123 features a slate of 12 fights inside the fabled Octagon.

At the top of the undercard, the featherweight division serves as the focus of the UFC Vegas 123 featured prelim. Francis Marshall (10-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC) squares off against Dakota Hope (11-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC.) All fights mentioned herein are an advertised three rounds at five minutes per round.

Marshall comes in with a record of 3-2 in his last five fights. He's currently on a two-fight wiining streak. On the night of April 25, he bested Lucas Brennan (11-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) inside the Apex. Marshall will make a bid for his third successive triumph inside the cage, but he does so with a change in opponent.

Initially, he was slated to verse Gaston Bolanos on Saturday night, but the fight was canceled prior to the show due to the latter suffering a cut in training camp. Can Marshall pick up a third successive win?

Dakota Hope Still in Search of First Promotional Win

Meanwhile, Dakota Hope enters this fight, his sophomore UFC appearance, with a record of 4-1 in his last five fights dating back to November of last year. On April 4, the night before the Easter holiday, he dropped a split decision to Kai Kamaka III (18-9-1 MMA, 2-4-1 UFC.)

Since then, Kamaka has lost two fights consecutively. While Hope failed to make a good first impression almost seven months ago, he's got another opportunity to secure his first UFC win on Saturday night. Only time will tell, however, if Hope gets his hand raised in victory in UFC Vegas 123.

Immediately beforehand, the welterweights take to the Octagon for a fight between Rodrigo Sezinando (8-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC,) a graduate of the 2025 season of The Ultimate Fighter television series, and Theodor Berggren (8-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC.) This is Sezinando's first fight in more than a year.

In his last five professional outings, he sports a mark of 4-1. In September of 2025, he was on the losing end of a first-round knockout from Daniil Donchenko (15-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC) during the TUF live finale in the latter's UFC return.

He hasn't fought since that late summer afternoon in San Antonio. How much ring rust does he have?

Theodor Berggren Hopeful for Better Outcome in UFC Vegas 123

Meanwhile, Theodor Berggren enters the co-featured prelim with a 2-3 record in his last five outings. On June 27, he fought the aforementioned Daniil Donchenko in UFC Baku, losing by second-round knockout. Much like Sezinando, this fight is also the second UFC appearance for Berggren.

Prior to the June 27 defeat, Berggren had been on a two-fight winning streak, with both of those wins coming by way of knockout. Which version of Theodor Berggren shows up on Saturday night during UFC Vegas 123?

If it's the version of Berggren who won two fights in a row ahead of his contest in Baku, he'll be in good shape.

UFC Vegas 123: Julian Erosa vs. Jeong Yeong Lee: Erosa Retiring Saturday Night

Also on UFC Vegas 123, the featherweights will be battling when Julian Erosa (31-13 MMA, 9-9 UFC) makes his final appearance in MMA against Jeong Yeong Lee (11-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC.) The retiring Erosa will be making the walk one final time having gone 3-2 in his last five outings.

He's dropped two bouts consecutively ahead of UFC Vegas 123. On March 28 in Seattle, he sustained a first-round knockout due to punches from LerryAn Douglas (14-6 MMA, 1-1 UFC.)

Outcome notwithstanding, this is the end of this phase of Julian Erosa's professional life. Can he walk out of the Octagon one last time a winner?

Jeong Yeong Lee in First Fight Since May of '25

In the other corner, Jeong Yeong Lee has a record of 3-2 in his last five appearances. In May of last year, he dropped a unanimous decision to Daniel Santos (14-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC.) From there, Lee had been booked to fight on March 7 against Gaston Bolanos.

The day prior to the fight, however, Lee was withdrawn from the card amid weight-cutting issues. He hasn't fought in more than 17 months.

Given that Lee went through the entirety of a training camp before having to withdraw a day before the event, one can expect him to fight with frustration on Saturday night.

Rest of the Prelims

UFC Vegas 123's undercard is rounded out by the following contests:

  • A middleweight fight matching Zack Reese (10-4, 1 NC MMA, 4-4, 1 NC UFC) against Mickey Gall (7-7 MMA, 6-7 UFC,)
  • a middleweight contest versing Nick Klein (6-3 MMA, 0-2 UFC) and Joe Kropschot (9-3, UFC promotional debut,)
  • a strawweight affair pairing Talita Alencar (8-1-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) with Piera Rodriguez (12-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC,)
  • and a women's flyweight encounter between Tainara Lisboa (7-4 MMA, 2-2 UFC) and Lucia Szabova (12-0 MMA, UFC promotional debut.)
