UFC 278 Weigh in Results

UFC 278 goes down this Saturday live from Salt Lake City, Utah. We have all of your UFC 278 weigh in results right here. The official weigh-ins are set to kick off at 11 a.m. ET (8 a.m. PT), with the ceremonial weigh-ins taking place on the UFC’s Youtube channel at 18:00 ET (15:00 PT).

In the main event, the welterweight belt will be on the line as the champion, Kamaru Usman takes on BritLeon Edwards in a highly anticipated rematch. The co-main event sees an intriguing middleweight clash as former champion, Luke Rockhold looks to get his first win since 2017 as he takes on former title challenger, Paulo Costa. The third key fight to keep an eye on is the bantamweight clash on the main card as Jose Aldo takes on ‘The Machine’, Merab Dvalishvili.

The card has taken one major hit as it was announced this morning that Miranda Maverick has been pulled from the card as her opponent, Shanna Young was hospitalised ahead of the official weigh-ins.

Main Event

The main event is a rematch from 2015. On that occasion, the fight went in the favour of Usman. He outwrestled, out-worked and ultimately was too much for Edwards. Since then, both men are undefeated and this fight marks the first time in UFC history that two fighters will enter a UFC bout riding a 10-fight UFC winning run. Someone’s run has to come to an end, however.

Both men have been respectful in the build-up but on Saturday night, that respect is earnt inside the Octagon and only one man can leave with the belt. Will we hear ‘And Still’ or ‘And New’ in Utah?

Keep it locked to MMASucka all weekend for all your MMA and combat sports needs.
