Alexa Grasso expects tough Manon Fiorot matchup at Noche UFC 4

Alexa Grasso is ready for her next challenge. On Saturday, the former UFC flyweight champion will take on Manon Fiorot at Noche UFC 4 in Glendale, Arizona, in a highly anticipated matchup. With both fighters ranked at the top of the division, Grasso knows Fiorot will be a difficult test but believes a win could bring her closer to another shot at the title.

Alexa Grasso Welcomes Challenge Against Manon Fiorot

Currently ranked No. 3 in the division, Grasso will face the No. 2-ranked Fiorot at Noche UFC 4. While the Mexican recognizes Fiorot as one of the best fighters in the division, she is also looking forward to facing a tough opponent. Grasso believes challenges like this one can help her continue to improve her skills.

"I think it's a fight that has to be," Grasso told MMA Junkie. "She's No. 2, I'm No. 3. We both fought for the title, we both want to fight for the title again. So, great fighter, she's a tough opponent. I love that. I love challenges. You know that I love challenges because they make me grow and they can make me better like so much. I'm excited for this, and I can't wait. I can't wait to perform on (Saturday)."

Alexa Grasso Remains Focused on Manon Fiorot

Although another title opportunity is one of her biggest goals, Grasso does not want to look past Fiorot. The former champion knows that her immediate focus has to remain on Saturday's fight, while a strong performance could put her in a better position in the title picture.

"I never like to pass through the thing that I have in front of me, which is Manon Fiorot this (Saturday)," Grasso said. "But I do know that having a good performance could keep me closer to the goal, the biggest goal that I want."

At 33 years old, Grasso holds a 17-5-1 professional record. In March, the Mexican fighter stopped Maycee Barber to snap a two-fight losing streak against Valentina Shevchenko and Natalia Silva.
