The former champion, Alexa Grasso is back and will face off against former title challenger, Manon Fiorot. The two, who are ranked #2 and #3 in the Meta rankings are possibly fighting for the next shot at the champion, Valentina Shevchenko, who is waiting for a date to face Natalia Silva.

Manon Fiorot Looking to Carry Momentum on From Last Win

After Manon Fiorot lost in fairly convincing fashion against the champion, Valentina Shevechenko, back in May 2025, she was at a crossroads in her career. She was seen as ‘the best of the rest’ and needed a number of wins to get another shot at gold.

She’s got a fan friendly style in that, she comes to fight, enjoys the stand-up game and once she has an opponent hurt, she’s vicious in her pursuit of a finish. 

She showed that finishing instinct last time out when she took on the in-form, hungry, Jasmine Jasudavicius. In Jasudavicius’ home country of Canada, Fiorot went in there and dominated. It took her just 1:14 to finish her foe and made a statement in doing so.

A slip, left hand counter from Fiorot wobbled Jasudavicius and several, unanswered follow up shots forced the referee to step in and end things. A statement win and statement finish for Fiorot.

Alexa Grasso Looking for Fourth Fight With The Champion

On the topic of devastating finishes, Alexa Grasso scored one of the greatest finishes in UFC history last time out. She too was at a cross roads in her career, on a three fight winless run and taking on the always dangerous, Maycee Barber.

Grasso would utilise her superior boxing to land a devastating 1-2, landing clean on Barber, knocking her out. As the American fell down, she spun around, exposing her back to Grasso. Unaware that she’d likely already knocked out her opponent, Grasso instantly followed Barber down, landing a single blow before locking in a wicked rear-naked choke and forcing the referee to step in. 

So rocked by the exchange, Barber attempted to wrestle the referee before slumping unconscious and staring into the abyss.

The Match-Up Itself

There’s little doubt that Manon Fiorot vs Alexa Grasso is set to be highly competitive. Both women know that in a fairly shallow division, it may only take one or two convincing wins to gain a title shot. 

Fiorot will look to keep this one standing, whereas Grasso, who has more strings to her bow could either work her boxing, or look to take things down.
