Andrew Tackett targets Sean Brady and Paddy Pimblett after UFC BJJ 10 win

The jiu-jitsu champion challenged two UFC fighters after defending his title for the fourth consecutive time at UFC BJJ 10.
Andrew Tackett has two UFC fighters in his sights after winning at UFC BJJ 10. On Thursday, the American defeated Jonnatas Gracie with a brutal submission in the first round, defending his belt for the fourth time. Following his victory, the jiu-jitsu champion chose to call out MMA fighters rather than fellow jiu-jitsu competitors, challenging Sean Brady and Paddy Pimblett to step into the UFC BJJ ring.
Andrew Tackett Calls Out UFC Fighters
Rather than calling out fellow jiu-jitsu competitors, Tackett said he wants to face MMA fighters instead. Speaking in his post-fight interview at UFC BJJ 10, the American explained that he believes UFC athletes are more willing to accept the challenge before naming Brady as his first target.
"I think most of the jiu-jitsu people are scared," Tackett said. "I don't think they'll step up to go against me, so I'm going to call out MMA fighters because I know they have balls."
Andrew Tackett Also Calls Out Pimblett
After mentioning Brady, whom he considers the best grappler in the UFC, Tackett also had a challenge for Pimblett. The British fighter has built much of his MMA reputation around his submission game, which apparently made him an appealing opponent for the American.
"First MMA fighter I want to call out is Sean Brady," Tackett said. "Now, another call out that I want is Paddy Pimblett. That man goes off with the submissions… So Paddy, if you think you can beat me, which I guarantee you can't, come step into the UFC BJJ ring."
Tackett's callouts could open the door for an interesting crossover between elite jiu-jitsu and UFC talent. For now, however, it remains to be seen whether Brady or Pimblett will accept the challenge and step into the UFC BJJ ring.
