Gillian Robertson has dismissed comments made by her former coach, Din Thomas after her UFC 330 loss.

It wasn't Gillian Robertson's night inside the cage at UFC 330, but at least she'd have the support of her friends, family and team in such a tough time...

Except, she didn't. Her head coach, former UFC fighter Din Thomas, quit as Robertson's coach, live on the Paramount + broadcast, blasting her in the process.

It was unsavoury to say the least. Dana White was stunned, and Jon Anik didn't agree with the comments made, which arguably prompted an apology from Din Thomas.

Gillian Robertson Breaks Silence

As per Ariel Helwani, Robertson Stated:

"Prior to , I didn't see any sign of what was to be said. After the broadcast, he had said, 'I will address this in the morning,' followed by, 'Going live on in 15 minutes.'

He did reach out to me privately at 5 PM and then sent a voice message apologizing around 7:30 PM, to which I have not responded due to comments he has made since the broadcast, privately, to my team that led me to believe there is not much weight in the apology, such as, 'Me doing that publicly was more so for TV purposes and ratings.'"

What's Next for Robertson?

Losing at UFC 330, Mackenzie Dern snapped Gillian Robertson's five-fight winning run. At just 31, she can certainly come again. She's a legitimate finisher and there are still plenty of fights out there for her.

She's yet to face names including Zhang Weili, Virna Jandiroba, Tatiana Suarez, Yan Xiaonan, who are all ranked above her.

For those ranked below her, Fatima Kline makes a lot of sense, as does Alexia Thainara.

Whatever's next for 'The Savage', Din Thomas won't be anywhere to be seen.
