“I love the attitude”: Jean Silva applauds Jose Delgado after their UFC Noche clash

Jean Silva praised Jose Delgado’s confidence after their heated UFC Noche showdown, while also showing appreciation for the Mexican stepping up on short notice.
In the lead-up to UFC Noche, things had gone ugly between Jean Silva and Jose Delgado, as both were taking verbal jabs at each other, turning their rivalry more intense. However, the rivalry between them took an unexpected turn after their UFC Noche showdown, with Silva praising his opponent despite the heated exchanges earlier.
Originally, Silva was scheduled to headline UFC Noche with Yair Rodriguez; however, the former title challenger withdrew from the bout after suffering injuries. That led Delgado to step up for the Brazilian challenge. Since then, the war of words between them has begun.

The bad blood showed during their fight. Delgado started strong and even scored a knockdown of Silva in the first round, but the Brazilian managed not to let the Mexican capitalize on it. ‘Lord’ barely throws any significant strikes in the round.
However, things got interesting as Silva started to find success in the second round; it was much more competitive, with both fighters landing a few strikes, and ‘Lord' even landed a takedown.
Silva landed a right overhand that knocked down Delgado and went to the ground to submit the Mexican with a rear-naked choke to secure the victory in the third round.
After the fight, Silva took to his X account to acknowledge the Mexican's willingness to speak his mind and step up for the bout. He hoped the UFC would properly compensate Delgado for stepping up on short notice.
“Even though Delgado talked a lot, I said multiple times that I hoped the UFC took care of him for taking this fight and letting us give the fans the show they wanted. There's nothing wrong with being confident and speaking it into existence. I love the attitude,” Silva wrote on X.
