Joe Rogan is taking his partnership with Spotify to the next level, securing the future of one of the globe's most beloved podcasts. The UFC commentator and comedian has signed a new multi-year licensing deal for The Joe Rogan Experience, building on a relationship that kicked off back in 2020. Although the exact financial details are under wraps, sources indicate that the agreement could be worth a staggering hundreds of millions of dollars.
Joe Rogan and Spotify Extend Their Successful Partnership
Spotify made a big announcement on Thursday, letting everyone know that new episodes of Rogan's podcast will keep rolling out weekly on the platform and other services. While the company kept the financial details under wraps, The Wall Street Journal reported that it could carry an estimated payout of $250 million, similar to his previous agreement.
Rogan shared his enthusiasm about continuing the collaboration, saying, “The partnership with Spotify has been an amazing fit, and they’re incredible to work with. I’m extremely happy and excited to continue with them for years to come.”
Jordan Newman, Spotify's Head of Content Partnerships, also highlighted the podcast's enduring appeal. “Joe has built something incredibly enduring, and his show continues to resonate with a massive global audience because there’s simply nothing else like it,” Newman said.
The Joe Rogan Experience Remains a Podcasting Powerhouse
Launched in 2009, The Joe Rogan Experience became a Spotify exclusive in 2020 before expanding its distribution to other platforms in 2024. That broader availability will continue under the new agreement, allowing the show to reach audiences beyond Spotify.
With over 18 million followers on Spotify, it has remained the platform's most-followed show throughout their partnership. With the latest extension, Spotify is keeping a major name in podcasting within its broader content strategy while Rogan gains yet another multi-year commitment for his flagship show.
