Justin Gaethje Wants Arman Tsarukyan to Lose Upcoming Fight

Arman Tsarukyan was once a top contender for the UFC lightweight title. Defeating Charles Oliveira at UFC 300, things looked quite rosy for him. However, as Tsarukyan lost the plot from there, he is now struggling to make his way back to the top. Come UFC 331, Tsarukyan will have an all-important bout against Mauricio Ruffy. Ahead of the match, Justin Gaethje chimed in with a scathing take. 

What did Justin Gaethje Say About Arman Tsarukyan? 

Gaethje and Tsarukyan are yet to come face-to-face inside the octagon. But even before that, things seem to be getting heated between the two. In a recent statement, ‘The Highlight’ pointed out that he wished Ruffy would dominate the Armenian fighter and make him lose the bout. 

Elaborating on the same, the UFC champion said, “I hope Arman gets beaten really badly. It would be fun to watch... He did so much to avoid fighting for the championship.” 

He further added, “He was supposed to fight Islam Makhachev for the belt and pulled out the night before the fight. The truth is he wasn't going to make weight, so he withdrew from the fight."

At the moment, Tsarukyan has not responded to Gaethje’s comments. Surprisingly, this is not the first time the duo is going at each other. 

Justin Gaethje Refused to Accept Truck From Arman Tsarukyan

The bad blood between the two goes back to the UFC Freedom 250 event. Following a dominant victory against Ilia Topuria, the Armenian fighter offered to buy Gaethje a truck as a gift. However, appearing on Joe Rogan’s podcast, ‘The Highlight’ dismissed the idea, which offended Tsarukyan significantly. 

Reflecting on the reason for doing so, the champion recently termed the gift as ‘cheap.’ He said, “I sent him the truck I wanted, he didn't buy it. He wanted to buy me a cheap ass truck."

Thus, with the heat rising, it remains to be seen what’s next.
