The Brazilian looks to extend her winning streak against one of the fastest-rising contenders in the bantamweight division.

Norma Dumont and Ailin Perez are finally set to settle their rivalry inside the Octagon. After months of back-and-forth on social media, the bantamweight contenders are expected to meet at a UFC event in Las Vegas on Sept. 26, according to reports from Gaston "Tonga" Reyno and Ag Fight. Matching up the division's No. 4 and No. 5 contenders, the bout could play a decisive role in determining the next challenger for the women's bantamweight title.

Norma Dumont, Allin Perez Finally Fight in Octagon

Although Norma Dumont and Allin Perez have never faced each other inside the Octagon, the Brazilian and Argentine have already built a growing rivalry outside of it. Since 2025, the two have exchanged several provocations through interviews and social media after Perez publicly challenged Dumont and accused her of avoiding the matchup. Dumont responded on multiple occasions, making it clear she had no problem accepting the fight.

Now, after months of verbal exchanges, the promotion appears ready to finally settle the score inside the cage.

Norma Dumont and Allin Perez Each with High Stakes

Even though Norma Dumont had her six-fight winning streak snapped by Joselyne Edwards, the Brazilian remains one of the division's top contenders and still has her eyes on a title shot. Allin Perez, meanwhile, enters the bout riding a six-fight winning streak and has quickly established herself as one of the fastest-rising names at bantamweight.

With both athletes positioned inside the top five, the winner could take a significant step toward a future title opportunity.

Beyond the traditional sporting rivalry between Brazil and Argentina, the matchup finally gives Dumont and Perez the opportunity to settle months of verbal exchanges. With both fighters looking to move one step closer to a title shot, there will be much more than a personal rivalry at stake when they finally meet inside the Octagon.
