Shortly after the UFC announced the re-signing of former champion Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson during the UFC Fight Night 58 broadcast, Bellator MMA president Scott Coker tweeted out saying that Jackson is still under contract with Bellator MMA, despite signing with the UFC.

Jackson (35-11) left the UFC in 2013 following a three-fight skid with losses to Glover Teixeira, Ryan Bader and Jon Jones.  He signed with Bellator MMA later that year, and picked up two stoppage wins over Joey Beltran and Christian M’Pumba, and a close decision victory over Muhammad ‘King Mo’ Lawal.
