UFC announces return to Qatar in November
The promotion will return to Doha for its second event in the country on Nov. 21.
The UFC is heading back to Qatar. The promotion announced on Thursday that it will return to Doha on Nov. 21 for a UFC Fight Night event at the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena in Al Rayyan.
The event will mark the UFC's second visit to Qatar after making its debut in the country in November 2025. The inaugural event featured Arman Tsarukyan submitting Dan Hooker in the main event, while Ian Machado Garry defeated former welterweight champion Belal Muhammad by unanimous decision in the co-main event.
UFC returns to Doha
The first UFC event in Qatar featured several notable names across the card. Kyoji Horiguchi made his return to the organization and submitted Tagir Ulanbekov, while Volkan Oezdemir stopped Alonzo Menifield in the first round of their light heavyweight bout. The card also featured the promotional debut of Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev, who submitted Rafael Cerqueira in just 33 seconds.
The main event also had implications for the lightweight title picture, with Tsarukyan submitting Hooker in the second round. Garry's victory over Muhammad was similarly important, as the Irish welterweight moved into title contention after defeating the former champion.
The UFC's return to Doha will mark the promotion's second event in Qatar. The country became the third in the Middle East to host a UFC event when the promotion made its debut there in November 2025. The promotion has yet to announce any fights for the Nov. 21 card, with further details expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
