UFC Paris Line Up Announced as Nathaniel Wood is Disrespected Again

The UFC Paris poster and lineup have been announced, and yet again, English featherweight Nathaniel Wood returns against the exciting Brazilian, Marion Santos.

Dan Hooker and UFC newcomer Salahdine Parnasse headline the event, but aside from the main event, there are plenty of fights on the card to get excited about. None more so than UFC featherweight contenders Nathaniel Wood and Mairon Santos.

The issue is, despite being one of only a few ranked fighters on the card, Wood has yet again been disrespected and put on the prelims.

Nathaniel Wood Disrespected Again Ahead of UFC Paris

Enjoying a four-fight winning run, Nathaniel Wood returns for the second time in 2026. His first outing saw him welcome Losene Keita to the UFC octagon in his home town of London.

Before this, he'd bested Jose Delgado, Morgan Charriere and Daniel Pineda. The META rankings have him ranked #8.

Wood has only featured on a main card once in his last four fights, despite bringing in an exciting fighting style, a well-rounded game and a strong fan base. As a former Cage Warriors champion, Wood is on a longer winning run than five men ranked above him. Respect needs to be put on his name, and yet again, the UFC has let him down.

Marion Santos Provides Interesting Puzzle

The 26-year-old Brazilian has an amazing record at 17-1, with his only loss coming in 2022. He's amassed a UFC record of 4-0 after winning TUF. His most recent victory saw him knock out Muhammad Naimov, the last man to defeat Nathaniel Wood.

With nine knockout victories, Santos is clearly dangerous on the feet, and his style clashing with Wood's is a match made in heaven. It's got fight of the night written all over it; however, it's stuck on the prelims. It's time to give Nathaniel Wood the flowers he deserves.
