UFC White House is a card that MMA fans the world over have been talking about for months. This show began as an event that initially teased “eight or nine championship fights” in honor of United States President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday on June 14.

Saturday night, midway through UFC 326’s main card, the event in US Capitol was crystalized. In a rare Sunday event for the UFC this June, The White House grounds in Washington will play host to six fights total.

To put the scale of the event into perspective, the six-fight slate at UFC White House is exactly half the number of fights comprising the final version of this weekend’s UFC 326 in Enterprise, NV. The one-off event may not be taking place on the 4th of July this year, but this hasn’t stopped the UFC from loading up on fireworks inside the fabled Octagon.

UFC White House Headlined by Unification Battle at Lightweight

At the top of the bill on UFC White House the second weekend of June is a fight at lightweight where supremacy is on the line. Current UFC Lightweight Champion Ilia Topuria (17-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) puts his permanent strap at risk when he battles interim champion Justin Gaethje (27-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC.)

Back in January, Justin Gaethje defeated Paddy Pimblett (23-4 MMA, 7-1 UFC) for the interim title at UFC 324 in the night’s headlining bout. Topuria comes in off a hiatus from competition  Like all championship fights, this one will be five rounds at five minutes per round.

This isn’t the only title fight to be held on UFC White House, held as part of the Freedom 250 celebrations in the United States.

Interim Heavyweight Championship at Stake in UFC White House Co-Main Event

The heavyweight division will also have a score to settle at UFC White House on June 14. In the co-main event of the evening, the UFC Interim Heavyweight Championship up for the taking.

Soon-to-be-former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira (13-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC,) who was once thought to be out of the running for a spot on UFC White House, moves up to heavyweight to fight Ciryl Gane (13-2, 1 NC MMA, 10-2, 1 NC UFC.)

As far as the light heavyweight championship that Pereira is relinquishing, a new champ will be coronated on the night of April 11 when Jiri Procházka fights Carlos Ulberg in Miami. The full six-fight card plays out this way:

  • UFC Lightweight Championship: Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje
  • UFC Interim Heavyweight Championship: Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane
  • Bantamweight: Sean O’Malley vs. Aiemann Zahabi
  • Lightweight: Mauricio Ruffy vs. Michael Chandler
  • Middleweight: Bo Nickal vs. Kyle Daukaus
  • Featherweight: Diego Lopes vs. Steve Garcia

Jones, McGregor Absent From UFC White House

The most notable story to come out of the reveal of the June 14 show is the omission of two UFC legends from the bout order. Neither Jon Jones nor Conor McGregor will feature on UFC White House.

Conor McGregor mentioned earlier on in the week that he’d be targeting a summer return to action in the Octagon and he had interest in fighting on the White House event.

“Either The White House or thereabouts,” McGregor said Tuesday. “Sometime in the summer, McGregor will return.” When “The Notorious” does return to action, it’ll be the first fight he’s had since breaking his ankle in 2021.

Jon Jones’ name was brought up multiple times in the months leading up to UFC White House, with “Bones” being in negotiations for the event in the last week.  If Jones had returned on June 14, it would have been the first appearance for him since retiring in June of 2025.

Thoughts on UFC White House Card

All in all, the UFC has constructed a solid evening of fights this June. Whether or not the card holds together remains to be seen.

As of tonight, there are 99 days before the one-off event takes place and anything can happen in that span. Although there are six fights planned, remember this:

It’s quality that counts the most, not quantity.
