Salahdine Parnasse dismisses Dan Hooker trash talk ahead of UFC Paris
The former two-division KSW champion makes his UFC debut against Hooker in Saturday’s main event in Paris.
Salahdine Parnasse is not paying much attention to Dan Hooker’s trash talk ahead of their UFC Paris main event. About to make his UFC debut, the French fighter dismissed Hooker’s comments and said his only concern is what happens once the Octagon door closes. The former KSW two-division champion will headline his first UFC appearance in front of his home crowd on Saturday.
Salahdine Parnasse Dismisses Dan Hooker Trash Talk
On Saturday, Parnasse will make his UFC debut as he takes on Hooker in the main event at UFC Paris. Ahead of the matchup, his opponent didn't hold back on the trash talking. Recently, Hooker has stated that he would travel to Paris to ruin Parnasse's title dreams and ensure the French fighter's first UFC main event would also be his last.
Despite the provocation, Parnasse doesn't seem bothered by Hooker's words. In fact, the former KSW champion insists he is only focused on what he will do inside the Octagon.
"It's just silly," Parnasse told MMA Junkie. "It's just, you know, the thing that he says. I don't have to worry about that. All I've got to worry about is what I'm going to do in the fight, what I'm going to do in that cage."
Salahdine Parnasse Ready for UFC Debut
Widely considered one of the elite pound-for-pound talents outside the UFC, Parnasse has established himself as a well-rounded MMA fighter. A former KSW two-division champion with multiple title defenses, the French fighter arrives at his UFC debut riding a five-fight winning streak and confident he can handle the responsibility of headlining his first UFC card.
"No, I feel good," Parnasse said. "I feel really, really good, and I've had a lot of challenges, sporting challenges, in my life. I've had a lot of big moments, so I feel really good to go in there and put on a great fight on Saturday. I know that's what people are expecting to see."
Parnasse will now look to make a strong first impression in the UFC when he faces Hooker in Saturday’s main event at the Accor Arena in Paris.
