PFL Washington DC: How to Watch and Full Fight Card

PFL Washington DC features the return of top welterweight contender Thad Jean, as he battles for the promotion’s vacant 170-lb championship against surging Russian star Shamil Musaev. Before that, however, UFC veteran Tyson Pedro locks horns with Rafael Xavier.

Making a splash last summer after winning the PFL 2025 welterweight tournament, Jean is set to contend for undisputed company gold. A top-notch striker in the division, “The Silverback” is on the cusp of winning his first ever major world title.

Also a former PFL tournament winner, Musaev is coming off a disappointing setback to previous 170-lb apex Ramazan Kuramagomedov for the inaugural belt of the weight class. With a second chance of claiming the strap put in front of him, “The Silent Assassin” enters PFL Washington DC with all the determination in the world to prove that he belongs at the summit of the division.

After a fantastic UFC stint, which saw him collect victories over Paul Craig and Khalil Rountree Jr., Pedro made his first walk to the smart cage this past April at PFL Belfast, where he lost to previous 205-lb champion Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov. Undeterred by the loss, the Australian is on a mission to get his hand raised in his sophomore PFL appearance.

1-1 in his last two bouts under the PFL banner, Xavier’s first year with the promotion got off to a middling start. Looking to get back on track at PFL Washington DC, the Brazilian’s next fight will be pivotal to remain relevant in the stacked light heavyweight class.
