Canada becomes the epicenter for top-level mixed martial arts at UFC Edmonton.

In the main event, defending hometown hero Mike Malott battles invading American stalwart Joaquin Buckley. Leading up to that bout, women’s flyweight contenders Erin Blanchfield and Jasmine Jasudavicius duke it out.

With his upset loss to Neil Magny now but a distant memory, Malott has firmly settled into his role as a top 15 welterweight. Looking to make a statement to the rest of the division and UFC matchmakers, “Proper” will stake his claim for a high-profile 2027 with an outstanding win in front of his countrymen.

Moving down to welterweight in 2023, Buckley was once regarded as a dark horse of the weight class after accruing six straight victories. Eager to snap a two-bout skid, “New Mansa” is aiming to spoil the night for Canadian fans everywhere in the top-billed contest of UFC Edmonton.

UFC Edmonton Co-Main Event

In the UFC’s stacked female 125-lb class, Blanchfield has carved a name for herself as a surging contender. With her warpath backed up by outstanding triumphs over Taila Santos, Tracy Cortez, and Rose Namajunas, the 27-year old is back after almost a year away to continue her rise towards title contention.

Ending her 2025 campaign with a devastating knockout loss to Manon Fiorot, Jasudavicius kicked off her 2026 run in a big way by trouncing Karine Silva back in April. Seeking to punch her ticket to a potential championship showdown next year, the Canadian will put everything on the line this Saturday night.
