We provide you with our betting tips and the odds ahead of Ilia Topuria vs Justin Gaethje at UFC Freedom 250.

UFC Freedom 250 is finally here. After months of anticipation, we’ve finally arrived at fight week, and we provide you with betting tips and odds for the main event between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje.

With the undisputed lightweight title on the line, the two 155ers will leave it all out on The White House lawn in a bid to walk away with the belt  (a specially designed belt) over their shoulder.

Let’s take a look at the UFC Freedom 250 main event, the betting odds and interesting lines to look out for.

UFC Freedom 250 - Ilia Topuria vs Justin Gaethje Betting Odds

Topuria wins in Round 1 via TKO/KO (+290)

Two lightweight fights, Two finishes. Ilia Topuria’s record at lightweight in the UFC has seen him compete at the weight just twice, but on one occasion, he was phenomenal. It took him just 2:27 to separate the former champion, Charles Oliveira, from consciousness, winning the title.

Topuria’s boxing is stunning, as is his power. The Spaniard has notched seven knockouts across 17 victories. Interestingly, the run that he is currently on is arguably the best in UFC history. He knocked out Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298 in the second round. Following this, he became the first person to knock out Max Holloway in the third round at UFC 308. This was then followed up by the Oliveira knockout.

Gaethje is extremely easy to hit. He absorbs 7.05 strikes per minute and has been in multiple wars throughout his career. Suffering three knockout losses along the way, Gaethje is rolling the dice one last time. It’s a dangerous game to play with Topuria, however.

Topuria to win via submission (+460)

Despite being a solid boxer, the lightweight champion has more submissions than he does knockouts. Recording eight submissions throughout his career thusfar, Topuria is a legitimate threat on the ground.

Although he only has one submission in the UFC, that doesn’t take away his ability to force his opponents to tap.

Could he mix things up, take Gaethje down and submit the American on The White House lawn?

Gaethje to win via TKO/KO (+650)

There’s little denying that Gaethje is a huge underdog at UFC Freedom 250. He’s the older man by eight years, has a lot more miles on the clock and importantly, has tasted defeat before.

With that being said, Gaethje is a proud American and, headlining the first and only ever MMA event on The White House lawn, Gaethje’s motivation will be higher than ever.

If there’s one thing about Gaethje that’s obvious, it’s that he has legitimate power in his hands. He’s recorded 20 knockouts in 27 wins and when he has, often it’s done in devastating fashion.

Last time out, he knocked down Paddy Pimblett twice; prior to that, he’d knocked down Rafael Fiziev. He holds impressive knockouts over Edson Barboza, Dustin Poirier and James Vick, all of which came with a single blow.

If Gaethje can stay disciplined and force Topuria into a wild exchange, there’s a good chance that he could catch him and knock him out.
