UFC Vegas 33 Results

This weekend’s main event features a match up between two top-fifteen ranked middleweights as MMASucka provides UFC Vegas 33 results throughout the card. In the main event, Uriah Hall looks to extend his current win streak to five in a row as he takes on Sean Strickland.

UFC Vegas 33 Results – Main Event

Uriah Hall last suffered a loss in 2018 when he lost by second round TKO to Paulo Costa at UFC 226. Since then, he has won his last four in a row, with three wins by KO/TKO. Following the loss to Costa, he picked up a knockout win over Bevon Lewis. After that, he won a split decision over Antonio Carlos Junior before picking up a TKO win over former middleweight champion Anderson Silva. In his most recent fight, Hall picked up his fourth straight win over another former champion after Chris Weidman suffered a broken leg from a checked kick in their UFC 261 match-up.

Also a winner of his last four straight fights, Strickland looks to earn a top ten ranking with a win over Hall. His last loss was also in 2018, but he quickly bounced back with a TKO win over Nordine Taleb five months later. Following that win, he was out of competition for two years due to a motorcycle accident. He would make his return in 2020 as he picked up a unanimous decision win over Jack Marshman. Two weeks later, he picked up a second round TKO win over Brendan Allen at UFC Vegas 14. In his last outing, he defeated Krzysztof Jotko by unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 25.

UFC Vegas 33 Results – Co-Main Event

UFC Vegas 33’s co-main event will feature a women’s strawweight pairing between Cheyanne Buys and Gloria de Paula. Buys earned her UFC contract with a win on Dana White‘s Contender Series in 2020. She made her UFC debut in 2021 against Montserrat Ruiz at UFC Vegas 22. Unfortunately she would lose her debut as Ruiz defeated her by unanimous decision. She looks to pick up her first UFC victory as she enters the octagon against de Paula.

As for de Paula, she also earned her contract with a win on the Contender Series in 2020 and she would also make her debut earlier this year in 2021. In her debut, she faced Jinh Yu Frey and would end up losing the fight by unanimous decision. Just like Buys, de Paula will also be looking for her first win in the octagon as she enters Saturday’s co-main event.

UFC Vegas 33 Results – Main Card

Kicking off the main card will be a welterweight fight as Bryan Barberena returns after nearly a year away to face Jason Witt. Barberena’s last outing was in September 2020 when he defeated Anthony Ivy by unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 10. As for Witt, he last fought earlier this year at UFC Vegas 21 as he suffered a knockout loss to Matthew Semelsberger in sixteen seconds.

Following that fight will be a featherweight fight between Collin Anglin and Melsik Baghdasaryan. Anglin will be making his UFC debut as he most recently won a fight on the Contender Series to extend his win streak to six in a row. As for Baghdasaryan, he will also be making his debut coming off a Contender Series win to put his win streak at five in a row.

Finally, before the co-main event will be a welterweight match-up between Niklas Stolze and Jared Gooden. Stolze enters the fight coming off a loss in his UFC debut by unanimous decision against Ramazan Emeev. Gooden also enters the fight on a skid as he has lost his last two straight by unanimous decision against Alan Jouban and Abubakar Nurmagomedov.
