Former UFC light heavyweight title challenger Anthony Smith returns to the cage to face Aleksandar Rakic and we will have UFC Fight Night 175 Results all night.

Smith challenged for the title last year at UFC 235 when he faced off against Jon Jones. After the fight, Jones was announced the winner as he defeated Smith by unanimous decision. After the loss, Smith took on Alexander Gustafsson in the main event of UFC Fight Night 153. He bounced back from his loss to Jones that night, defeating the former title challenger in the fourth round by submission. Following his win, Smith appeared in his fifth straight main event at UFC Fight Night 171. In that fight, he took on another former title challenger in Glover Teixeira. In the fifth round of their fight, Teixeira finished Smith by TKO. Smith will look to rebound from the loss with a big win over Rakic in his sixth straight main event.

Aleksandar Rakic made his UFC debut in 2017 and quickly put together four straight wins. In his debut, Rakic defeated Francimar Barroso by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 115. Following his debut, Rakic went on to defeat Justin Ledet by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 134. Rakic finished his first fight in the UFC in his third outing when he faced Devin Clark at UFC 231. He won the fight in the first round, defeating Clark by TKO. After winning his third straight fight in the octagon, Rakic would pick up his biggest win in his next outing. That win would come against Jimi Manuwa at UFC Fight Night 153 as he knocked Manuwa out in less than a minute. In his most recent fight, Rakic’s long win streak was snapped as he lost by split decision to Volkan Oezdemir.

Originally scheduled to be the co-main event was a welterweight fight between Neil Magny and Geoff Neal. However, a few weeks before the fight, Neal was forced out of the fight due to health complications. Replacing him will be former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler. Magny enters the fight coming off of two straight unanimous decision wins. The first of those wins came against Li Jingliang at UFC 248. He then followed it up with a win over Anthony Rocco Martin at UFC 250. As for Lawler, he has not won a fight since a 2017 win over Donald Cerrone. Since then, he has lost three straight fights to Rafael dos AnjosBen Askren and Colby Covington. He looks to snap the losing streak against Magny.

Kicking off the main card will be a featherweight bout as Ricardo Lamas faces off against Bill Algeo. Lamas enters the fight coming off a first round knockout loss to Calvin Kattar at UFC 238. As for Algeo, he will be making his UFC debut coming off a recent win over Tim Dooling at CFFC 83. In the second fight on the main card, before the main event, Alexa Grasso makes her flyweight debut against Ji Yeon Kim. Kim enters the fight coming off a second round knockout win over Nadia Kessem at UFC 243. Grasso makes the move up to flyweight after a majority decision loss to the former strawweight champion Carla Esparza in her last fight.
