GLORY Kickboxing has announced the headlining match for GLORY 84, a champion vs champion showdown with Tyjani Beztati vs Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao, the lightweight world champion facing the featherweight world champion. The event is booked for March 11 at the Topsportcentrum in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Tyjani Beztati will defend Lightweight Title against Featherweight Champion Petch at GLORY 84

The reigning GLORY lightweight kickboxing world champion Tyjani Beztati is carving out an impressive career. At just the age of 25, he has already earned gold in the GLORY ring. The Moroccan-Dutch athlete captured his world title when he defeated Elvis Gashi and has since defended it against Josh Jauncey and Stoyan Koprivlenski. The highly-skilled fighter will be planning to add another defense to his record at GLORY 84 against a fellow champion.

‘The Professor’ Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao, best known as Petch, has become royalty of kickboxing. The Thai-born kickboxer earned the featherweight throne in 2018 and has defended it in five bouts. Earlier this year, the 27-year-old fighter also captured the RISE Super Lightweight World Championship. Between kickboxing and Muay Thai, this impressive pound-for-pound talent has earned a record of 169-38-3 since making his professional debut at just the age of nine years old. At GLORY 84, Petch will have the biggest challenge of his career as he looks to become a two-division world champion in GLORY.

While speaking in an interview with Tim Wheaton of Beyond Kickboxing, the Thai-born Petch explained his attitude, he said:

“I’m not too worried about legacy. All I worry about is how I fight, and fighting to the best of my ability. The fans will remember me for my fighting skills in the ring. I’m not trying to be a legend or anything like that, I just want to perform the best I can and give fans good memories in my fights.”

GLORY announced all of GLORY 84 in a press release. The rest of the fight event includes:

  • Tyjani Beztati vs Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao – Champion vs Champion
  • Jay Overmeer vs Jamie Bates
  • Nordine Mahieddine vs Felipe Micheletti
  • Ertugrul Bayrak vs Michael Boapeah
  • Imad Hadar vs Brice Kombou
