UFC Fight Night 176 Results

The UFC is back in action at the Apex as the heavyweights are featured in this week’s main event and we have UFC Fight Night 176 results all night. In the main event, former title challenger Alistair Overeem faces quick rising contender Augusto Sakai. In his last four fights, Overeem has only lost once. That loss was against Jairzinho Rozenstruik in a fight Overeem was winning on every scorecard until the final ten seconds. Before losing the Rozenstruik, Overeem had put together a two fight win streak. The first of those wins happened at UFC Fight Night 141 as Overeem finished Sergei Pavlovich in the first round by TKO. The next win came in the main event of UFC Fight Night 149 as Overeem finished Alexey Oleinik by first round TKO. Since he lost to Rozenstruik, Overeem picked up a win in his last outing, defeating Walt Harris by TKO.

As for Sakai, he appeared on Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil in 2018, earning his contract with a second round TKO win. In his UFC debut, he faced off against Chase Sherman at UFC Fight Night 137. Sakai picked up a big win in his debut as he finished Sherman in the third round by TKO. In his next outing, Sakai faced former heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski at UFC Fight Night 150. He picked up another win that night as he defeated the former champion by split decision. After the win over Arlovksi, he finished Marcin Tybura by knockout in less than a minute at UFC Fight Night 158. In his most recent fight, he picked up his sixth straight win by defeating Blagoy Ivanov by split decision at UFC on ESPN 9.

UFC Fight Night 176 Results

After a positive COVID-19 test cancelled their fight at UFC on ESPN 15Ovince Saint Preux and Alonzo Menifield meet in UFC Fight Night 176’s co-main event. OSP has split his last two outings, going 1-1. The first of those fights came after a submission loss as he came back with a submission win over Michal Oleksiejczuk. In his last outing, he made the move to heavyweight where he faced Ben Rothwell. But he would come up short as Rothwell won by split decision. He now moves back down to face Menifield who looks to rebound from a freshly stained perfect record. Menifield started his UFC career with two quick finishes over Vinicius Moreira and Paul Craig, putting his record at 9-0. His perfect record would be ruined in his last fight against Devin Clark at UFC 250. Clark would end up defeating him that night by unanimous decision.

After multiple cancellations, UFC Fight Night 176 will proceed with seven fights, meaning one big seven fight main card. The first fight features a bantamweight matchup between Cole Smith and Hunter Azure as they both look to bounce back from recent losses. Next will be a women’s flyweight fight between Viviane Araujo and Montana De La Rosa. Araujo looks to rebound from a loss while De La Rosa looks for her second straight win. The third fight will be a featherweight fight between Brian Kelleher and UFC newcomer Ray Rodriguez. Following that match up will be a middleweight fight between Andre Muniz and Bartosz Fabinski as they look to extend their win streaks. Finally, before the co-main event will be a welterweight fight between the always exciting Michel Pereira and Zelim Imadaev.
