A DWCS contract winner is set to make his UFC debut just 11 days after earning his contract, stepping in on short notice for this weekend’s fight.

The event added a super exciting light heavyweight bout, in which the fighter who earned a contract on Dana White's Contender Series season 10, Week 6, Luis Hernandez, will step in to face Sedriques Dumas on short notice.
Luis Hernandez set for UFC debut just 11 days after earning contract
Hernandez earned the UFC contract on September 15. He delivered a spectacular performance and submitted the French prospect Hugo Guillon via rear-naked choke in the second round.
Now he is set to make his insane quick debut, 11 days after earning his UFC contract, as he got the opportunity to make his UFC debut this weekend against Dumas. Because Dumas’s opponent, Mickey Gall, pulled out of the bout due to medical issues, the fight was scheduled to take place at middleweight.
The UFC took to Instagram to officially announce the light heavyweight bout between Hernandez and Dumas.
Hernandez holds a perfect professional record of eight wins, three coming via knockout and five by submission. Not only that, his five stoppages came in the first round, which suggests he will hunt for a stoppage against Dumas as soon as the bell rings.
Meanwhile, Dumas has not tasted a victory since his decision win over Denis Tiuliulin
That came back in August 2024, in a fight night event headlined by Cory Sandhagen vs. Umar Nurmagomedov.
