Anderson Silva issues fiery response to Dana White in growing feud

Anderson Silva just hit back at Dana White's recent claim that the two men are no longer on speaking terms. 'The Spider,' however, didn't necessarily refute White's statement, but instead took aim at the UFC CEO.
Anderson Silva has caught wind of Dana White's recent interview with Rolling Stone, during which the UFC CEO claimed that Silva no longer speaks to him due to supposed enmity over how 'The Spider' was released from the promotion. Based on his response to White, Silva seems less than pleased.
Anderson Silva blasts Dana White on Instagram
After Dana White's recent claim that Anderson Silva refuses to speak to him, the UFC CEO's words were shared on Instagram by Canal Punch, a Brazilian MMA media entity. When Silva came upon the Instagram post, he popped into the comment section to not only scoff at White, but also at active UFC fighters, likely reigning UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland, who claimed he could defeat a prime version of Silva:
"All that. The bald guy talking sh*t. I've been out of the organization for many years already, but apparently neither the current fighters nor the bald guy can forget my accomplishments. Deep down, the bald guy knows that with me there was no whining, everyone went in to throw down, and I saved the promotion more than once. And just so it's on record, the bald guy apparently doesn't know how to count."

🗣️ Dana: "Anderson Silva lost like 8, 9 or 10 in a row. That guy won't talk to me to this day because I said 'it's over.' And he was in his 40s."

Silva hasn't fought in the UFC since 2020, when he was released from the promotion after a three-fight losing streak, with a fourth-round TKO loss to Uriah Hall at UFC Fight Night 181. He has since found new life as a professional boxer, returning to the squared circle for the first time since 2005. He is 3-1 since leaving the UFC, with his most recent win being a second-round TKO of fellow UFC alumnus Tyron Woodley on the Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua undercard.
Despite the frosty nature of his relationship with White, Silva was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame's pioneer wing in 2023 for his legacy as one of the greatest fighters of all time. He remains the record-holder for the longest win streak in UFC history, with 16 consecutive wins to his name, and also has the second-most consecutive UFC title defenses ever, and the most in UFC middleweight history, with 10. In 2024, he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame for a second time, this time into the fight wing, for his UFC 117 fight with Chael Sonnen, which saw 'The Spider' submit Sonnen with a come-from-behind triangle armbar in round five to defend his middleweight title.
