The former middleweight and light heavyweight champion faces backlash from fans after posing with three UFC belts.

Alex Pereira became a prominent name in the UFC soon after his debut, thanks to his stoic persona and back-to-back victories.

The Brazilian climbed the ladder quickly, earning title shots early in his UFC career and making the most of those opportunities. However, his recent ambition to capture a third title in the promotion has not gone down well with some fans.

Fans React to Alex Pereira’s Post

Alex Pereira won his first UFC title at middleweight in 2022, and the following year, he captured a second title at light heavyweight.

He then set his sights on the heavyweight belt but lost to Ciryl Gane in June while competing for the interim title. Despite the setback, Pereira remains determined to capture a third UFC title.

Recently, he shared a picture on Instagram of himself sleeping on a bed with three UFC championship belts. However, following his TKO loss, some fans are not buying into the narrative.

One fan wrote, “He's already a legend, but he's behaving like a clown.”

“This kid has a fetish for being out cold in front of cameras,” a fan wrote, taking aim at Pereira’s TKO losses.

“We are getting the third belt whether you like it or not!” a fan wrote in support of the former two-division champion.

Another fan wrote, “Oh no, Gane found him again.”

“He’s feeling very insecure at the moment,” a fan commented.

Alex Pereira’s Next Fight

Despite his defeat against Gane, Pereira still wants to cement himself as the only fighter in history to win titles in three divisions.

In his quest now, the Brazilian will face Russian heavy hitter Sergei Pavlovich in the co-main event of UFC 335 on 12 December.

Pavlovich is coming off three consecutive wins and is one of the most feared heavyweight contenders. A win in this fight could potentially earn both contenders a crack at the title.
