Carl Froch Slams Conor Benn After One Sided Loss

Carl Froch has had his say on Conor Benn's loss to Ryan Garcia and gives his opinion on what could be next.
Former world champion, Carl Froch has taken to his YouTube channel to comment on Conor Benn's one-sided loss at the hands of Ryan Garcia. In Zuffa Boxing's biggest event of the year, Garcia took under two rounds to completely dismantle Benn, landing a clean right hand to drop Benn before a barrage of punches forced the referee to step in.

Prior to the bout, many were asking what the weight cut would do to Benn, as well as whether he was ready for world level. Garcia proved that, in fact, Benn was not, and he was far superior.
Carl Froch Slams Conor Benn
Talking about the fight, Froch said: "Conor Benn looked nervous on the ring walk, nervous when he got in the ring. He was staring at Ryan , and they were clapping eyes quite a lot, and I could feel the tension".
He went on to discuss the fight itself, stating: "Round one, the speed, the accuracy and you know, the class of Ryan Garcia was showing from the off. He landed a couple of clean left hooks and was picking shots, throwing arm punches but the speed and the judgement of distance instantly in round one was evidence that Conor Benn was going to struggle".
On the stoppage itself, the former world champion believes the referee did a good job, commenting: "The referee did Conor Benn a favour and saved him from further punishment. Ryan Garcia was just missing with a few shots. The left hook whizzed past his chin, missed him, but because Conor looked bamboozled on the ropes and he's taking his eye off his opponent and trying to duck low and was in survival mode, the ref had seen enough".
Speaking on what could be next for the Brit, Froch said, "I see Conor Benn going up in weight" but went on to say that Benn "does not belong at this level".
