Christian Natividad Smokes Through Colton Loud en Route to Contract
Christian Natividad was among the first fighters to walk out to the Octagon at DWCS 91, but made short work of his opponent.
Christian Natividad (10-0 MMA, 1-0 DWCS) entered DWCS 91 on Tuesday evening with a perfect record in the sport of MMA. Dating back to amateur competitions, Christian Natividad, nicknamed "The Hawaiian Punch," had gotten his hand raised in victory 14 times in succession ahead of Tuesday's event.
Natividad, a stalwart flyweight in the LFA, last fought less than six months ago on the night of March 13. For Natividad, that Friday the 13th proved to be a lucky one, as he secured a unanimous decision victory over Adrian Garcia (10-4-1 MMA, 3-2 LFA) during LFA 228.
From there, "The Hawaiian Punch" was booked to appear on Sept. 8 during DWCS 91 in a short-notice appearance He'd draw the assignment of Colton Loud (7-2 MMA, 0-1 DWCS,) a veteran of Peak Fighting, where the latter went 6-1. Numerically speaking, Christian Natividad only saw a third of his wins in the LFA end via knockout.

Although this fight, like all fights booked for DWCS, was advertised as a three-round attraction at five minutes per round, Christian Natividad needed less than a full round to complete his assignment. Natividad, who was four inches shorter than his opponent, expertly used his movement to create an opening for a right hand.
Undaunted, Colton Loud countered with an elbow, but it was ultimately Natividad's moment in the sun on Tuesday night. Upon Loud scoring with a kick to the body, Natividad returned fire with a punch to the body, knocking him down. A flurry of ground and pound shots ended the fight in a minute and 10 seconds.
"Holy smokes," exclaimed Chris Weidman, who was working DWCS 91 for Paramount Plus as analyst. "Colton lands the body shot with the kick and immediately gets stung with a body shot from Natividad that puts him down. That was crazy!"
Dana White Gives Christian Natividad UFC Deal
With Natividad having begun the night with his knockout victory over Loud, he'd need to wait for a few hours backstage to see whether or not his was among the names called by UFC CEO Dana White as the newest member of the promotion's active roster. After the conclusion of the main event of the evening, White made his way backstage to meet with Laura Sanko for the announcement of the contract winners.
"Let's start with Christian," White said. "10-0 now, coming in on a week's notice against a much bigger guy and you finished with an incredible body shot. You couldn't open the show better. You couldn't perform better. Welcome to the UFC."
Initially, Christian Natividad wasn't even scheduled to be fighting on DWCS 91 on Tuesday night. Colton Loud's original opponent during this week's show was to have been Frank Silva (8-0-1 MMA, 0-0 DWCS,) Silva was forced to withdraw from DWCS 91 due to troubles obtaining a visa to travel to the United States of America.
All told, Christian Natividad was the first of four fighters to receive a UFC contract on DWCS 91, bringing the total number of contracts awarded as a direct result of appearing on the show to 24 in 2026.
