Michael Chandler has provided fight fans with a look into his stunning weight change just a couple of weeks after his lightweight matchup at UFC Freedom 250.

Michael Chandler has long been heralded as one of the most athletic fighters to ever compete in the sport of mixed martial arts.

An NCAA Division I All-American in his youth, the Missouri-born Chandler has consistently fought some of the very best lightweights in MMA.

He's primarily competed at lightweight (155 pounds), albeit his debut in the sport came at welterweight (170 pounds), and he's also partaken in a few catchweight bouts. The three-time Bellator MMA lightweight champion's most recent fight saw him compete at lightweight yet again.

Chandler has now put forth video footage of his walkaround weight, alluding to how much it's increased, just a couple of weeks after he made the lightweight limit.

Michael Chandler's most recent octagon appearance ended in a defeat in what was a grueling fight for him.

Brazil's Mauricio Ruffy, who's counted among the most dangerous and unorthodox strikers in the UFC today, put on a stand-up fighting clinic and stopped the veteran Chandler via first-round TKO.

Chandler's weight at the official weigh-ins, for his non-title lightweight matchup against Ruffy, was 156 pounds.

Well, he's now posted a video to his official Instagram handle, revealing that his current walkaround weight is 40 pounds more than he weighed on the scale.

While most fighters do rehydrate after the weigh-ins, with MMA lightweights on average gaining 15-20 pounds after the weigh-ins, Chandler being 40 pounds over that threshold just two weeks later has amazed many netizens.

"Alright, two weeks. Two weeks, post-fight. We're gonna do a weight check. Weight check," Chandler stated.

He then stepped on the scale, with the cameraperson showcasing the number on the scale, which appeared to be fluctuating in the 195-pound range.

The camera moved away and showcased a smiling Chandler from a distance, with the UFC star noting that he weighed 195.6 pounds.

Chandler said, "That's exactly what I weighed, except for 40 pounds less. I weighed 155.6 (for UFC Freedom 250). 195.6. Let's go." Capping it off with what many fans deem to be his catchphrase, he added, "See you at the top."

Michael Chandler looks to return to the win column after recent UFC setbacks

Michael Chandler's professional MMA record stands at 23 victories and 11 defeats, which includes his UFC run that's seen him accrue two wins and six losses.

Many believe his UFC promotional debut, a first-round TKO win over Dan Hooker, was one of the most electrifying introductions any fighter could have in their maiden octagon outing.

He's also a one-time UFC lightweight title challenger, having nearly knocked out Charles Oliveira, albeit before getting knocked out by Oliveira, in their fight for the vacant UFC lightweight belt in 2021.

Furthermore, Chandler was to fight Conor McGregor, who's set to return against Max Holloway in a couple of weeks. "Iron" was booked to fight McGregor in a welterweight matchup at UFC 303 in June 2024, but a toe injury to the Irish MMA great caused their fight to be postponed and then canceled altogether.

Presently, Chandler is on a four-fight losing streak. That said, the 40-year-old is still hailed as a fan-favorite by many due to his exciting fighting style, cheerful and motivational persona, and storied career. Needless to say, he's seeking a return to his winning ways.
